ZR Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Giannini 12-string Craviola (very unique) - Hand made in Brazil of BEAUTIFUL wood. Great shape but has some small scratches and such ...see pics for details. As played by Jimmy Page , Jose Feliciano etc. Craviola means a cross between a Harpsichord and a Viola which is a Brazilian 10-string (I believe) guitar. Made in 1994. Cool sound and body shape! With cardboardy case (do some people call these chipboard I guess?). Fairly new Martin SP Phosphor Bronze strings. Own the most unique 12 string around; "I don't usually play 12-string... but when I do it's a Craviola!" ; ) $315 shipped / paypal'd! Giannini classical guitar. This is about 1.5" shorter than my full size Alvarez classical. I'm not sure what that makes it, 7/8 size? Narrower fretboard too (means easier playing - to me anyway!). Cool sound. Not sure when it was made - seems quite old. Great playing shape though. Has scratches especially on back, and kind of checked top, with splits in the wood that are raised on either side (kinda puckered up around the cracks). So, basically a good playing/sounding guitar with a lot of character - see pics. With cardboardy case (do some people call these chipboard I guess?). Has fairly new D'addario Pro-Arte' strings (silverplated wounds / clear nylons) $80 shipped/paypal'd! excellent pic of my strings... not so good of the label behind it!
