  1. The Superpro is still available. Merry Christmas to all.
  2. Someone from TGP is asking about the size of the fretwire on the Superpro. I have no idea - does anybody know offhand? Jumbo? Medium?
  3. There you go - Superpro scale is 25-1/2" compared to Monaco Elite scale which is 24-3/4".
  4. I've always been under the impression that the guitars are identical except Superpros are chambered.
  5. That's right! Pick up the guitar and swap out the pickup all in one local trip. BadgerDave and I are within mere minutes of each other now... Well, I'm no expert when it comes to distortion pedals, but it's TomTerrific-approved if that tells you anything. I can't guarantee mega-gobs, but that warp control makes things pretty crazy.
  6. I fluctuate back and forth. My pedalboard is as loaded as it's ever been right now: Boss TU-2 -> MSD wah -> Pearl Octaver -> Tech 21 XXL -> Maxon Phaser -> Guyatone Delay -> MXR Microamp. But it wasn't too long ago when I was using just the wah, phaser and microamp. Most of the time I can easily get by and be super happy with just the wah and the Microamp. In fact, I could probably get by with just the wah since my Kingsley has a boost footswitch.
  7. Well I had to choose between spending the evening with my daughter and the MWJ and the kid won out. I don't know where my priorities are! Seriously wish I could have been there; looks like it was a blast. Next year...
  8. I was thinking about offering my (mediocre) drumming services, too. I'd be happy to split drumming time or at least give you a few breaks during the jam. I am a very mediocre drummer...the same beat over and over again. But I do have fun...maybe I'll sit in for your breaks? Cool with me - I'm probably gonna get smoked by all the other guitarists, so I might as well take out my anxieties on the drums!

  10. Both. I have one of each in my Kingsley 2 x 12 combo. Best of both worlds.
  11. I'll take whatever guitars you'll be offering at $350. Seriously, though, I need something non-pointy with a sustain block.
  12. I'd be interested in attending my first ever HFC jam and that weekend is open. I'm in the Chicago burbs, too, so let me know if you need any assistance organizing or whatnot. P.S. - I replied to your email re: Chicago clubs but didn't hear back from you?
  13. +1 for old Yamahas. My ex-wife has one that really stands up. Not as nice as my J-50, but sounds great compared to a lot of what's out there these days. +1 for Simon and Patrick, too. Great price and nice sounding guitars. I bought one to use when I was gigging at Potbelly's to make ends meet last summer and I didn't want to be constantly bringing out my J-50.
  14. Saw TONS of great music this weekend in and around Chicago, but Glossary from Murfreesboro, TN won me over. Check them out on myspace.com.
  15. In a word: STUNNING. Congratulations!
