  1. Yes, there was.....................you could adjust the nut height on those higher end models. Under those locking nut Allen cap screws are adjustment screws to set nut height.
  2. I actually owned a guitar where the Stop Tailpiece itself was distorted from years of string pull.
  3. Great looking guitar but expensive but I guess it has been a long time coming for Hamer guitars as far as worth point. But think of all the Fender Strats and Gibson Les Paul out there.............there are a gazillion of them. That is a rare guitar certainly in that condition, if it was "BOUND AND CROWNED" it would be even more. $$$$$. Who wouldn't love to own that one.
  4. Several of the ones I owned.
  5. Yamaha makes a great guitar and that is one of them. I owned several of the Pacifica 1421 and 1412 guitars. I would have kept them if they were hardtails.............. not much of a trem guy here. Rich Lasner wanted to make those guitars available in hardtail versions, but Yamaha wouldn't go along with it.
  6. The way the video was shot it almost makes you seasick....................anyway it does give you a look at his guitars, ridden hard and put away wet!
  7. Just to clarify the apartment is not included in the sale price for this instrument but can be purchased at an additional cost.đŸ˜‰
  8. What is going on with the back of the guitar?..........................is it just the photos? Guitar looks "Frosted" and "Streaked" then "Chipped"
  9. Going down the PIPELINE..................
  10. Well you do get the original "Hamer" Bag.đŸ˜‰
  11. From my understand it WAS both but trying to find and buy those rare and exceptional instruments these days[ [With the REAL Hamer company long gone] is a tough deal. I would think those guitars shown with the "Hard Tail" option they would be priced well above what a Floyd issued one would be being that they were a Custom-Made Guitar.
  12. Yes they are exceptions to that rule, but I would say those are rare beasts I would guess. From what I have read with Joel asking wasn't always getting even if you were willing to pay for it, he just wouldn't do it. I said the same thing in a conversation with Rich Lasner about the Yamaha Pacifica 1421 and 1412 I model guitars I owned..............I wish they would have had those guitars available in a hard tail option and Rich pushed Yamaha to do that, but they wouldn't budge.
  13. Well I'm thinking of selling this piece of "Hamer History" I have it in a plastic dry cleaning bag also so hey how about............................let's say $1,000.00 for this fine specimen. And Yes, I jest. The fact is you can put a high price on most anything, that's easy, but getting it that's a whole different thing.
  14. I love those guitars in every way they are fantastic instruments but as I so seldom used/use a trem................I wish Hamer among others would have offered a stop tail version of these guitars. I have purchased guitars over the years that had Kahler and Floyd style trems but I didn't keep them for very long. That a great looking guitar in any case.
  15. Chris here on the HFC really is the person with the knowledge to speak to your question. There is an old list that was compiled here years ago but that list from what I understand is far from complete...................the guitar I just showed you wasn't listed on it.
  16. This was 1979 Hamer "SUNBURST" Black Bound and Crowned I owned at one time. Notice the Serial Number.
  17. Cool guy,he was the man back in the day....................on many great tunes.
  18. Yep there is another one of those for sale on REVERB......................"Limited Run" for the Hamer Fan Club. HERE Hamer Sunburst SB99 (1 of 9) | Reverb
  19. I liked the finish in the first "Processed" photo much better, that was beautiful!
  20. Neck joint...............I'm just so used to a blended heal on a guitar now. The rest of the guitar was fine. It was a really well-made guitar. and I thought the pickups were really great.
  21. One of my all-time favorite guitarists. I actually played one of these..................not a bad guitar but not my kind of guitar.
  22. I remember when you could still buy a REAL one for that $$$$$.
  23. And this is why..........................
  24. Interesting thanks for that...................so from what I read the console is not exactly as it was from back when The Beatles used it. Restored but not with all its original parts intact............A good friend who is a recording engineer here in Minnesota actually sent me that link. McCartney or Starr could buy it for sure but....................why?
