  1. Hi Chromium,

Would you consider selling the Korina Jr. to a Canadian? I could get you to ship it to a US address near the border (Oroville, Washington State) and I will take care of the rest.. Of course I would pay you in US funds. If so, can you give me a description of condition and some more photos. I have bought 1 guitar from a US member of this website so if you need a reference I can give you one, of course once I get permission from said member to give his name as a reference. Is it all original? I am assuming  being an 05, it would have the Vintage Carve neck. Looking forward to your reply. Cheers.

My real name is Dana (and I am a dude).

      Hi Dana,

Yes - I'd be happy to help you out re: shipping it, and will send you some photos (out running around this evening).

I have measurements of the neck (vintage carve) and it is perfect aside from some minor fret wear - nothing serious (have pics to show).  No buzz, plays beautifully, and has lots of meat left.  Tried to price to reflect that - definitely a good deal (I gave 1400 for it).

      More to come...

      Cheers,

      Joe

  2. Hi T-51 Fred.  No affiliation but I spotted a 3 PU 20th anniversary Nighthawk on the Vancouver, BC, Canada Craigslist. Guitar is actually in Chilliwack which is about 1-1/2 hours East of Vancouver. Looks to be in pretty decent shape and is asking $1200.00 CDN. Sorry but it is too far away for me to check out. Just thought I would give you a heads up if you are interested. Cheers.

Hey Hamersaur--thanks for the heads up.  One just came up on Reverb, new condition.  Snagged it for 1K US.  Coming on Monday.  Very psyched!

  4. Thanks for the update. Nice to know it's still in the fold. If I look at that too much my left nut starts getting suspicious.
  5. Not sure if this is still a members or not.
  6. I love this thread. Thank's to all for the photos and updates. That Cali is just friggin awesome. When you guys finish something like that, do you feel a bit of regret (for lack of a better word) in seeing it go? To me it looks like you guys leave a little part of yourself in every build.
  7. I feel very fortunate to be able to have the amount of guitars I own. Even though I have worked very hard to get to this point in my life, for me personally, I am inclined to agree with you. I am spoiled. Playing guitar is my hobby only and for me GAS = (want > need). As far as "working man's guitar" goes I own two. A '93 P90 Special as well as a "94 Special FM. It took me a while to figure out why I found these so much fun to play. For me it is because they are not built to be fancy, they are built to be played. The quality of the materials and build goes a long way too, but to me they are "less IS more".
  8. I have three words - "reserve not met".
  9. ^^^^^^ I got it on loan from a friend and I am still not sure if I would purchase it myself. Has a few songs with Brad Delp on vocals (I guess this album was 10 years in the making) and has the typical Tom Sholtz (is that spelled correct?) guitar pretty much throughout. I would give it an average rating. Nowhere near the quality of their first album (still gets lots of rotation at my house) but that would be pretty hard to beat.
  10. Thought this was a cool gift I received.
  11. New Boston and new APC (greatest hits).
  12. First one to come to my mind was a Neil Young song as well - Cinnamon Girl.
  13. I still have this POS only because my Takamine sounds half decent through it on a totally clean setting. Otherwise this thing is useless.
  14. At work so I do not have time to hook up the link but I saw one on Vancouver (BC, Canada) Craigslist the other day. It is actually in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. Price is right ( $500.00) and it looks to be in great shape. No affilaition. Good luck.
  15. D'Addario 10-46 on all electrics. Martin SP's on all acoustics. Mostly standard tuning but with the odd drop d, down half step, and DADGAD once in a while (mostly for Led Zep Kashmir). Cheers
  16. I do have a hard time trying to categorize music. Do not want to derail the OP but I agree The Cult rocks.
  17. Not sure if any of these would be considered pop but Billy Duffy of The Cult has some great licks in many of their songs. Also April Wine, Better Than Ezra, and Kim Mitchell. I have one CD I am not sure what genre to classify as but it has some really cool guitar work. The album (CD) is Rocket by the Primitive Radio Gods.
  18. Another I thought of worth mentiong is Natalie Merchant.
  19. Oh, almost forgot Tori Amos. And Fiona Apple
  20. Heart (going to see them this Saturday) Suzi Quatro Sarah Mclachlan Amy Lee (Evanescence) Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes) Chrissie Hynde
