  1. I had Tokyo Tapes in high school before Love drive. Uli will always bey fav scorp ( yikes tiger beat lol )
  2. All those Germans played with an intensity that really moves me
  3. Nothing but strings, no pedals, cables, nothing.
  4. Well Ive been the king of one hand typos and misplaced apostrophe so I forgive his q lol
  5. People are actually bidding w that bridgeuvh less the rosewood board, gawd
  6. Yeah its what's right for you as a player and for the style. In the last couple years most of my gigs have been non lead guitar. I do most of my gigs these days at the state theater of NC playing everything from banjo to lap steel and lots of bass and nearly 100% acoustic when assigned a guitar role. I kept thinking that the 9s would make up a little for the lack of actual lead guitar playing but it made it worse, put on 11s and it felt easier, w 9s I was chasing the strings w my right hand
  7. Been farting around w 9 s for the last year, doing a jazz gig w female singer and upright bass so I threw some 11s on the ole CE22. Man that's the shit, so much better in every way, easy to bend after all the bass playing and 12 string stuff I've been doing
  8. Let it die then start your own
  9. I have the Peterson and love it
  10. That's because your only thinking of rock tunes. I did a post last month about Page copping stuff he learned on sessions that were pop or easy listening. One very popular tune that uses the same harmonic devise is My Funny Valentine. Everyone's heard of that Ah classic typo lol
  11. The intro is the exact harmonic motion as dozens of other well known dongs including the " don't want to leave her now" in Something. This whole this is ignorance in the first definition
  12. In my heart its my parts strat. I use it when its a gig that features my stuff or my style bit its ugly and buzzy and rude. The PRS ce22 gets a lot off calls because its dead quiet, good looking, tuning stable. The semi hollow parts tele w area Ts gets a lot of work too
  13. Filed by and ruled on by Idiots who don't understand music
  14. that reminds me of the time Brooks came to jam with us I told him to grab a certain guitar, he opens the case and all the strings were off! I was going to put them on and got busy and put it back in the gig bag, the look on his face was priceless
  15. I love the trisonics hate the bend one string other notes flat thing
  16. Unearthed a Burns Brian May guitar from the vault I forgot was even back there. How in the fuck do you people play these floating trems?!
  17. I would bring no guitar if that were possible
  18. Wow its been a long time.
  19. At least its that weird burst
  20. He got the Newport 90 gretch edition, fucker...
  21. I've had 2 silos over the years. They just sound bland to me
  22. Pfft, I've been playing parts guitars for the last 6 years. I suppose the CE 22 is the most expensive at 900 used but it is only used when a humbucker tone is needed ( like super rarely ). Average cost of gigging guitars is an HFC friendly 350. Bought a cool SG that actually sounded good to me w humbuckers but gave to #1 son, think it was 800
