I'm considering pulling the trigger on a checkerboard Special which was refinished at some point and doesn't look too enticing as is. I'm wondering about the cost/risks of having it professionally refinished. I'd like to restore it to something that looks more factory-like. Also, have never seen a pots configuration like this. Any thoughts?
