  1. forgot to include my Boss PN-2 pan/trem pedal, a killer sounding piece!
  2. OD I like the Barber Direct drive and the Maxon OD808 used in tandem like the fulldrive or something, so I think of mine as one 2 button OD wah Tesse RMC3 chorus Rockman stereo chorus 1/2 rack size module delay I use an old Washburn analog delay right now, used to use and still own the Rockman stereo ech (I love the Sholtz time based effects, not so hot on the distortion generators) phase 90? I don't use a phasor, how bout the one built into a 70's Peavey amp LOL EQ Boss GE7 VoodooLab Procatavia and Boss OC2 are my other picks
  3. how is this measured? I can play one note really really fast
  4. Seagulls are very consistent, great value too
  5. I like the Yari's alot, they are made well, just make sure it's a Yari model. The setup and care of acoustics is crucial IMO, maybe if you see something @GC that you like they can do a setup for a full evaluation. Strings are crucial too, you get 4-5 people handling these a day and the strings are gone gone gone. Ask for a string change to evaluate. I've got a modified Yari from 1984, a really good guitar and an Ovation elite1778, the best sounding Ovation going, but I don't think they do a 12 in that model. Most Ovations sound dull to me, this model does not. I play acoustic only during the week, I don't touch my electrics unless I'm gigging or recording
  6. I'm not a huge fan but my son like em a lot. He is a great player and his favs in the past have been Page, Brian May, Clapton and Harrison ( classic rock all the way ) but the WS really have made an impression on him. I think the Jack can really get the gut bucket on slide, I've been impressed w/ a few things that I heard ( don't know the song titles ) JW do on slide, a very rural approach. I'd have to say not a joke
  7. Again, thanks to all, this has been very difficult and your kind thoughts and prayers have helped us much. The memorial service is today, then a private burial tommorow and I'm hoping these things will help put an end to this first phase. A friend talked about a "new reality and I'm sure it's true, a huge thanks to all, Bill
  8. Friends, thank you all soooo much, Toughest gig ever indeed
  9. after 9 months battling cancer, my mom passed last night , she will be missed
  10. I'm pretty sure that the Eddie Martinez SS-1 w/ the leds, owned ( not sure about current status ) by Tonejunkee, is a 25.5" scale 21 fret bigneck, don't know if this was a one off or not
  11. I like this "II" w/ the tapped pups better than my old Mirage, I think this one resonates a little more in the wood, the tapped Rios work really really well in this thing
  12. Gigged my last remaining Hamer over the last 2 weeks, a Mirage II w/ RioGrande TX/BBQ tapped pickups, I've got push pulls on the vol and tone to split each pickup. I swear, this guitar can cover any tune w/ fantastic results. The combo of the Rio's and the longer scale length really let this thing shine, from chicken picking tele type tones to Bad Co classic rock this axe can do it AND it weights under 8 lbs, a huge plus w/ my newly screwed up back. The only thing I lack is a true "quack" from a middle pickup, but both pups tapped gives that spirit for sure, anyway, I had an absolute blast playing the last few gigs on my Mirage II, just crowing a little!
  13. as a former mod I can say that your damned if ya do, damned if ya don't. I will always respond the way I did in the thread in question so I don't give a shit
  14. looking for some more Frank and Joe Show, gypsy style jazz that is freakin amazing!
  15. cool! quite the rocker and kudo's on the lone V inlay, MUY cool
  16. I can't imagine what you've been feeling, just be happy he's back and that you divorced her!
  17. all that heavy rock I post is w/ the PV preamp and a cheap cab simulator, through a real amp and cab it's truly frightening ( like an armadillo in your trousers! )
  18. click the link, buy the unit, thank me later http://thegearpage.net/board/showthread.ph...threadid=101239
  19. shit, no contest, the E7#9! ( the purple haze chord )
  20. you'll hear good and bad about any OD/distortion, it's such a personal taste and playing style thing that it's hard to know until you try em. The first series Marshall pedals are highly sought after so you'll be able to get your money out if ya don't like it
  21. Mark, I cannot imagine, all my heart brother
  22. every single guitar on the "custom gallery" page can be directly traced to this message board, that is a fact that some can ignore or dispute, but it is fact edited to add that I just looked at it for the first time in a while, they can claim the mini standard ( nice LOL ) and Matt Smiths guitar
  23. the Ovation tour went w/o a hitch, hmmm? I have my theories and it's all punkass shit
  24. yep, message recieved loud and clear, I've got one for them too ( see my avatar )
  25. the VP-90 DiMarzio sounds just like a normal P-90, in fact I've ABed w/ Lollars and like the DiMarzios better
