  1. And, IMO, the Gotoh/Edge studs are so much better with the solid bottom and lock screws.
  2. My first was a Kay like this one: https://reverb.com/item/59763747-kay-k1-1960-s-sg-style-with-foil-pickup My dad got it at a local pawn shop for my birthday in '81. Action was high, didn't stay in tune well. I played it for almost a year and then got a Peavey T-60. I later put EMGs in it and then a Kahler. (Don't use a router if you don't know how, kids.) I got another T-60 body later and still have that with the hard tail. Currently, it has Duncan 59's and sounds good. Great playing guitars. Just heavy as hell.
  3. Great purchase. Congratulations!
  4. That ain’t working, that’s the way you do it.
  5. That looks like one of the earlier Kahlers that were used on Gibsons, not the Flyer.
  6. I agree the left. Gives early JEM vibes.
  7. Saw them in 84 when Stick It was the hit. Great live band. Russell sounded great, liked his voice a lot. RIP.
  8. You can also order a radiused nut from Schaller directly: https://schaller.info/en/1-r2-locking-nut-right-complete/20040120
  9. For my own clarity, it looks like you used the Floyd posts and not the Gotoh ones?
  10. $2k sounds good, but with a ding, $350. 🤣
  11. The Sentinel is one of my favorite Priest riffs.
  12. I've always gotten an answer back reasonably from them if I emailed. They even have a tech support phone number on the website. I imagine they'd help out with that.
  13. No problem, his tone is great.
  14. I'd seen something a while back that Caleb (at that time) was using a Headrush MX5 with another pedal or two. Here it is:
  15. Nice! I picked up a Steve Stevens a year or so ago and they do sound great. I do have to think about the switching when I'm using it.
  16. Sweet! Congratulations, looks in great shape too!
  17. I'd think most places now have fine print stating you can be refused entry at the discretion of the venue or some legalese wording.
  18. The Jacksons have a tilt back headstock, so less necessary if at all. On a Fender like headstock, it's needed for the correct angle through the Floyd locking nut.
  19. They may sound better, but is the description of the acoustic voice better? 🤣
  20. Vai used the PAF Pro in Alcatraz and DLR a bit until he got the signature sets.
  21. As my dad would’ve said: Jeez, at that price, I may as well get a few.
  22. PRS SE McCarty594 I think has a chunkier neck. Edit: Also a Bernie Marsden PRS.
  23. Not sure but my understanding was that J Custom was also Fujigen.
