To some, screwing around takes the place of playing... Like bitching about intonation.... I guarantee that few audience members can tell the difference in any of the different tones of that cabinet. In a home situation, tho, it might be a real blast to play with. For 10 minutes.

Neat idea, but not gig worthy with all those screw bits in there. The typical bedroom/home studio guy would probably have a ball with it.

Our condolences to Frank Rindone

I just got a nice email from Frank, thanking us. Pile on, kids, show the man some more love. It's helping. -
Frank unfortunately lost his mom on Sunday, and we of the Hamer Fan Club want to extend our deepest sympathies. Frank busts his balls as Hamer Product Manager, and we are all in his debt. Hang in there, brother, we're with you.

He was a badass. He had his "moments", but look at the players that he found or made for us.... Bootsy, Larry Graham, Stubbie.....

The TM10 is a toy. The TM60 has a speaker compensated XLR out(remeber, this is the Sansamp company!), so the direct tone is GODLIKE. You can turn off the speaker by sticking a cable into the headphone jack, now you run silent for recording. BUT DON'T TRUST ME!!!!!!! I've only been crowing about these for years. You may see the TM10 as a toy, it has it's uses. I didn't realize that the TM60 has an XLR out too...I've not seen one in the flesh, and the website alludes to a 1/4" line out only... I guess it was a stupid question after all. Thanks for clarifying the outputs on this amp for me. Dion My "toy" comment is in reference to how the amp is used. You cannot switch on the fly, it is not footswitchable. The internal speaker is good only to a level only slightly louder than you can yell. It was never designed for live use. It is great for recording or practice, so it is not in the same utility area as a TM60. Hence, it is a toy. Toy ain't bad, Dion. -

Forgive the stupid question. My little TM10 has an XLR out. That right into the PA is easy. The TM60 only has a 1/4 line out correct? I'm assuming a direct box is involved in the signal chain in order to inject into the board. My buddy has been borrowing my TM10 for Sunday mornings. He is considering a TM60 for church, mostly for the 2 channel capability not the output. But I am concerned about the line out. Can you/anyone straighten me out on this? Dion The TM10 is a toy. I need to hear that myself. I tried and it sounded weak compared to my tube amp. It was probably me. I think there needs to be a GOM/HFC night booked out far enough that Paul and I (maybe CraigS too?) can make the road trip. I think that would be a blast! First Saturday of every month. -

I think a distinction has to be placed here. Banging around in the house, I can play any of my Marshalls or vintage Fenders or the odd Vox. For sheer auditory pleasure, blasting a pile of 4x12 cabs is fun as hell. BUT Those of us actually gigging have to use tools. Our amps must be able to provide us with the needed tones with a minimum of fuss. When I was on the road with Citizen Cain, 3 Marshall heads and 9 cabs did the trick quite nicely. Nowadays, my T60 direct into the PA gives me what I need. I have to have several different tones available NOW, since we don't use set lists. If I were out with another Hard Rock act, I would dust off the Marshalls, probably. I'd still use the T60, tho. Anyone that has seen Grumpy Old Men can attest to the effectiveness of out T60s. Stevie and I both run them direct and we couldn't be more different guitarists. TOTALLY different tone packages. And he's GOOD! -

A good Junior thru a good Marshall is like getting chocolate sauce removed from your body in the best possible way by the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders..... -

I am. I sound better and I am not exhausted before the gig. Come see us sometime and you'll understand. Anyone that can't get a great house sound with a T60 isn't trying. -

From two Marshall half stacks to a Trademark 60. -
I bought that LP back then as a joke, and now it seems to be worth some cash. Maybe I'll keep it!
