  1. All in good time, kids, all in good time.
  2. Hokay! I just heard from my new best buddy Mike Oken at Hamer.... Special W/GC1-0 $3,600 mahogany humbucker at bridge, $75 P-90 at neck Wraparound bridge -0- bound dot board $300 Klusons $135 Stock color(cherry, TV or Vintage Orange) -0- He ate the wraparound upcharges, as a favor to us. so we have a list price as spec'ed of $4110 Who wants in at $2500? If I get 6 folks interested, we are on.
  3. Parts are on. Strings are next. I am shaking right now. Really.
  4. I think it's time for "Uncle Paul's Story Corner". So much of the early stuff has been changed by "revisionist history", it would be nice to have the DEFINITIVE info available.
  5. I heard that his left hand was bothering him, Poe. Any news of that?
  6. IF that were possible, the "VALUE" aspect would be shot to hell. If we want to do a series of FAIRLY priced guitars, then they have to be FAIRLY appointed. If you guys want a run of HEAVILY OPTIONED guitars, I'm game. BUT.....they will not be cheap.
  7. I personally don't want another Vector. They are not as versatile as a regular doublecut, and cost a lot more.
  8. Here's a quick and crappy mockup.... Wrapper Humbucker Bridge P-90 neck no guard no bling Straightforward rock machine. I did this to look like Korina, but we'd probably have to stick with mahogany for price concerns. TV would be nice, but vintage Orange is pretty bad ass as well....
  9. Does a Photoshop mockup of this exist? Page up, Kennypoo.
  10. If we can get over the bling factor and come up with a straightforward guitar, the price may surprise you....if I can get a run made like I have in the past. Each of the limited runs that I did in the past were affordable because I got some extra special treatment and passed it on. I would love to keep doing that. Jol bombed my last several attempts at runs(like the Standard Junior above) by pricing them WAY out of reach of the typical HFC guy and towards the cork sniffers that he was trying to attract. I gave up after several attempts at a FAIRLY priced run and told Hamer that I would not bother with the effort again if I was going to have to deal with the company charging a ton just because they were limited editions. Change has happened. The time is right to start it up again, and here is your chance.
  11. I posted this on this thread.... http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.p...c=41926&hl= But it was deleted. SO............. Figure out the exact spec of the guitar and how many are wanted and I will get numbers.
  12. BUT......here's what's drying......... Yes, that's the original logo.
  13. Drying time ain't hurrying time, Zippy.
  14. Ah.......NOW we're getting somewhere. Without a doubt, Uncle Paul has had a huge impact on all of our lives, and I am particularly pleased to be able to thank the man in person. Rarely do we get such a chance in life. Thank you, Paul, for everything.
  15. I think Paul needs a good HFC party, what say the gang?
  16. Actually, I mentioned that he might come back to the HFC. Anything else you may have heard was OBVIOUSLY hearsay.
  17. Paul rang me up and we had a terrific time talking about the industry, Hamer in particular and lots of silly stuff. If we all close our eyes and wish hard enough, he may appear soon!
  18. Two words.... Zoot Suit
  19. Barn paint? What barn paint?
  20. Lawn darts.
  21. I like the turn that this thread has taken. While the lacquer cures, we look at cheerleaders! ONLY in America!
