  1. NFT=Non Fine Tuner.
  2. For Brooksie:
  3. And speaking of NFT Floyds... I have a project in progress. More on this after installation.
  4. I'm Edward Van Halen, BITCH! 25" scale Danelectro neck on a 25-1/2" Charvel body. Not sure if the NFT Floyd is in the, "right", place, but I'm sure he made it work somehow...
  5. I'm selling stuff on consignment. Just sold an amp and guitar. Made money on one, lost a few hundy on another. Didn't have ship/pack, etc., so that's a win in my book. A few more guitars and two amps to come... Market seems a little soft lately. Prices aren't tanking, but muhfuggas are still posting higher prices for premium gear. I don't know if they're getting asking. This is why I like early-80s, Japan replicas. Very high quality for low/mid-level pricing.
  6. There was a run of SG Special Classics w/bound neck, P90s and a TOM that were pretty damned nice. I tried a few (all cherry transparent) and they were all nice guitars. If your heart is set on a wrap tail, I found the Music City to be an excellent replacement for the stock lightning bolt wrapper on my Bacchus LP Special. It intonates well and sounds great. I used TonePros locking studs to dial in the action perfectly and eliminate bridge-tilt.
  7. Dog: “Whadda doin’, Brooks? Get this thing offa me.”
  8. Hard to say. Could just be bad fitment out of the factory. Zooming in on the back pic shows checking, but no noticeable breaks. I’d ask for detail shots if I were bidding.
  9. I’ll bet that sounds killer, and I’m not a big fuzz guy. I dig my Warm Audio Jet Phaser: early Scorpions All Night Long.
  10. I've only messed with it into my IR-X direct to mixer/monitors. Wringing it out with drums and bass is for this weekend. I was a bit taken back when I first plugged in. Not as much, "whoosh", as I was hoping for. Cracked open the backplate and adjusted the trim pots. Presto! The LED light pulses with the speed AND its brightness is determined by the trimpots. It sounds as good as any Univibe/Rotovibe that I've messed with and the Hi/Low controls really come in handy to EQ it properly. Like most Lovepedals, the Level control is your key to success, as it can provide a substantial boost if necessary. I'm impressed enough to replace the vintage TCElectronic Chorus/Vibe/Flanger on my small board with the Vibronaut. Looking forward to opening this up LOUD this weekend.
  11. That’s my beef with hippity-hoop. I find most of the strictly electronic stuff very boring. Can’t stand auto-tune and the ticky-tacky, “drum”, tracks. There is a long list of genre groups l DO like ( Fugees, TLC, De la Soul), but they are mostly vocal/instrument-centered and not strictly hip hop/rap. There’s room for all kinds of pop music, but most hip hop has no interest for me musically, lyrically or culturally.
  12. Now, there’s a plan: Travis, Sales Engineer by day and weekend husband.
  13. Yeah, an 8hr combined commute wouldn’t be my first choice for a new career, either. If I manage to get hired, I’m gonna have to relocate to Ft.Wayne from the west coast. Looking forward to those lovely, plains winters.
  14. Nice. I’m looking forward to submitting an application to Sweetwater when I get ready to retire in a few years.
  15. Beautiful. Gibsons have been so on-point this past decade. Was it a straight online purchase, or did your dude pick it out for you?
  16. His cover of that Great White song is hella cool!
  17. Don’t care for the straps. Their straplocks are the best I’ve tried. Fender StrapBlocks are a close second.
  18. To paraphrase, I believe Edward’s response was: “Do your own fuckin’ homework!” Classic.
  19. Quadroweenie-a?
  20. Well, I’ve been wrong before. They look like drivers from much later versions than the 70s models.
  21. There’s some shenanigans going on with this pair. Nothing wrong with restored speakers, but the mid/tweets look like replacements. Buyer beware.
