  1. It would be awesome if people wanting to find a guitar -and not selling one- would start using "WTB" in their titles again.
  2. A short-scale Chaparral with a fixed bridge and banana headstock, for $1,200.
  3. He got shafted because his strategies were distroying an otherwise valuable brand. Fender thought they could revive it and tried, but the damage was done.
  4. Sorry for the very late info, but I just sent you a message. I hope there is still space! Thanks.
  5. Great music and guitar tones at the first listen, thanks for posting.
  6. Had he done that same headstock shape 15 years ago, he would not have invited to finally leave Hamer, letting a legendary brand die while others passed over them doing that same very simple thing. For a supposedly "expert in design", it must have been very frustrating to finally yield, but having to charge $38,000 a piece so people did not notice the thunderous defeat.
  7. They want to make sure nobody wants them at those prices before lowering them.
  8. This is an example of why I never argue with Mr. Haynie. The thread is now over.
  9. No response to your question -sorry- but those guys were good! Just another good band I missed, I guess.
  10. Cool, UTT, congratulations!
  11. Yep. Sokolow rocks.
  12. I cannot tell. Sorry.
  13. Wow. Although that is my favorite ABB lineup, that sounded a little amateurish to me. All a little out of tune, even Warren´s guitar, which is very surprising. A little out of sync among them, too. is more as usual, which is "awesome".
  14. Great music, great playing, great Hamer. Congratulations.
  15. Ouch. Tom, I did a deal with "hepkat" once, through the HFC. I was sorry I did.
  16. Fine man, you said it best! For electric players, it´s on Ebay now!
  17. Nice. That is one of the most beautiful guitar models ever, IMHO.
  18. This guitar kicks major b@tt, and plays itself. Amazing playing neck too. Excellent condition, frets, yadda yadda. Weighs 7,2lbs on my digital scale. Sounds like a great Strat should, maintains tuning very well, and it´s dead silent. It´s the guitar I've had the longest, but I just get curious for other stuff, so it's for sale... $1,000 shipped and PP'ed. Thanks, Jorge.
  19. Wow! Congratulations, Harry! I sincerely envy the ability to do that. ...and if it is far from Palm... let ME know, LOL!
  20. Yes, he did, in the old board, and it was great. Who knows? I think he always has, even if only for marketing-research ideas. It would be kind of dumb if he didn't, I think.
  21. You mean the Gustavsson headstock? Looks like a $20k Samick to me... Maybe. Still better looking than Hamer´s. He was Hamer´s Design Director, therefore, he was responsible for that. Even if he did not design it, he kept it all along.
  22. At least, finally..... he went for a better looking headstock. Too late.
