When David Bowie sold stock in his back catalog his songs began appearing in ad campaigns/commercials. Iron Maiden sold stock in their catalog to pump money into their video game. Expect to hear more Queen songs in movies and in advertising. Do not count out seeing Queen Abba-tars / avatars one day.

Maybe it was someone who sold himself as a top class repair person, or someone who was adored by a bunch of people on a message board. Edit: This was not directed toward anyone participating in the HFC. We have had threads about poor service from from some custom builders of guitars and amps. There have been complaints about repairmen. You should recall some comments about how some people have been heroes of The Gear Page, but not worthy of the praise. Every business needs to promote itself. Sometimes that promotion goes beyond what can be delivered.

The higher priced Iron Maiden tickets are Trooper VIP which means they get us into a special area with food and drinks (Trooper beer) available, and they are in a good spot on the side of the arena. The other two are general admission floor tickets. If we win early entry then those floor tickets will be used. If not, the seats with perks will have to do.

My friends and I have a list of shows we might want to see. Not every band on the list appeals to me, but we look for conflicts before buying tickets. We travel several hours for some shows, and sometimes hotel stays are necessary.. If you see a price it means I bought a ticket. Let me win a lottery and I will buy a lot more tickets. The price is right.

This past week I saw two King's X shows and there are way too many shows for the summer. We saw KK's Priest earlier this year, and a road trip to see them again is very likely. Judas Priest tickets were high dollar for this year's tour. I bought a ticket farther back than I would have liked, but if they had been reasonably priced I would have been closer. Iron Maiden plays in November, but we bought tickets in January or February. Those were not cheap tickets. Sammy Hagar is great in concert, but the prices have kept me from buying a ticket.

Perhaps DiMarzio was able to patent the curved shape because it is specific to P-Bass pickups.

Billy Sheehan's reasoning for a new shape is totally understood. It only took 65+ years for someone to make this innovation.

The price needs to be knocked down because of that messed up finish on the back of the headstock.

Obviously, aversion to mini-switches for going from humbuckers to single coils was not the motivation for that project.

Halestorm was playing Slave To The Grind during their shows ten years ago. Lzzy was a genuine fan of Skid Row long before getting to fill in as their singer.

Last year Reb Beach did the best guitar solo of anyone I saw in concert. Kip did a solo show a few years ago. He joked about feeling weird singing about going crazy over a 17 year old girl when he was 60.
