A little like the difference in a Les Paul and a 335. My Studios have a more immediate response and a little punchier sound, where the Artist 25th Anniversary I have is fat and warm sounding even though they have the same pickups. of course that could be more due to the fact that it is all mahogany. I had an Artist Custom with Seth lovers in it a long time ago. It was a great guitar, and I should have kept it, it sounded brighter than my current Artist, but not as punchy as my Studios. They all have their own personality, and you can't go wrong with any of them.

Agreed, I think the nut was reshaped. Easy fix though..

Yeah, I couldn't tell if it is flaking or on top of the finish. But at least with GC you have 45 days to return, no questions asked..

Thanks Geoff. I don't have any photos of the process. I'm an old dude that doesn't even carry a cell phone! I've been a repair guy for 30+ years, and I just mainly work on my own guitars now. It was really ugly though. I was glad to get it back to looking like it does for sure.

It's your guitar, Dave! You did nothing to change the fact that it's a Hamer first and foremost. I say ROCK IT! Just don't throw away the original stuff! LOL.

Oh man! You need my number! i know I would have paid you more than they did! You aren't kidding about the Hameritis. That one had the finish cut off on the edge with what looked like a pocket knife, and had epoxy put in its place. It was brutal. I was able to get it looking pretty good. That's a reflection in the pic. I stripped all the hardware off and cleaned and polished it in a big way. No jack in the case, but I had one. I dropped filled a bunch of dings, and now it is a different guitar. It plays and sounds great! Good luck with your move, you definitely have your hands full! I'll take care of it, it's a keeper for me.
