  1. Yeah....I don't know about this one. I emailed the guy with questions last week and he sort of distanced himself saying "my dad collects guitars and I'm selling it for him." Also claimed that big crack line is NOT a crack and said he'd send better shots of it....NEVER DID, despite me emailing a few times to remind him. Also insists it was NOT refinished, despite the plugged tuner holes sure looking like it. I brought up the same question that, if it's a headstock repair and the tuner hole plugs have clear on them, then the SN# was likely sanded off at that time. If it's legit, I would think the seller would have coughed up more photos, especially with zero bidders.
  2. Robert Fripp Al Pitrelli Ronni Crooks
  3. Geez, the perfect date: four hot girls who don't speak a word of English (you're in Holland, no?) Hey, at least I've refrained from any "finger in the dyke jokes."
  4. He only sells BCRich...... Very kewl sign
  5. Actually...it's one in my photo files that I dug up somewhere. I don't recall where I found it. Is it one of your's Serial or maybe Andrew's? I'm pretty sure that's Gary Moore's old Virt and the KKeller Korina one in it's original condition (pre-fingerboard chop) at the factory.
  6. Non-trem? Email sent. Here's a pic of a couple of the other non-trem Virts.
  7. Frank Zappa Louie Armstrong toss-up between Hank Williams Sr. or Robert Johnson or John Lennon as #3
  8. Killer!! The gold N green look great together! Congrats.
  9. Yeah, I have to agree...although it's sort of his trademark sound, so it actually works for him. After 30 + years of it, I figure that sound he gets HAS to be on purpose. I think Neil makes it sound like that to draw attention away from his voice Don't get me wrong, I LIKE Neil Young and anyone else with the balls to be that original.
  10. Actually, I asked this in another string but it's probably more appropriate here...in the HFC Hamer Model Descriptions it mentions that there may have been some LONG-SCALE SSI guitars made in 1987...Has anyone here ever owned one or seen one?? Got pix?
  11. Well...glad to see that I'm not crazy. It was my understanding that Cali Customs WERE set-neck axes and I remember reading that in an circa 1990 Hamer catalog. I've just seen a number of Califonians listed as "Customs" but the pix always seem to be bolt-ons, so I was starting to think I was wrong. Still would like to see pics of any set-neck Cali axes if anyone has one....AND WHAT ABOUT THE SUPPOSED EXISTANCE OF LONG-SCALE STEVE STEVENS I FROM THE 1987 PERIOD?? Has anyone ever seen one in the flesh??
  12. Hamer Bigfoot sightings...rumoured to exist but rarely seen: There are supposedly some longscale SSI guitars floating around from 1987...Anyone have one or a photo of one?? Also...I know most all Californians are bolt-on but they made set-neck Calis on the doublenecks. Are there any single-neck Calis that were done as set-neck ?? Anyone own one or have pics?
  13. Here's an '87 SSII with a GOLD sustainblock. Steve gave it to a close friend/guitarist (name on headstock) as a gift and that guy told me there was a second one made (red) that was given to a certain celeb/actor the same night he was given his at a benefit !! He wasn't specific on it being another hardtial but since they made them together it might be.
  14. A LOT of folks supposedly a LOT smarter than your ex also misjudged Katrina and also royally f*ked up (the Prez, FEMA heads, governor, mayor...) I'd just be damned happy that your story had a happy ending despite the route it took. A lot of folks weren't as lucky. VERY glad they're safe. I'm still searching for some friends/neighbors missing in the area.
  15. Dos en XL negro...uno in verde XL. Gracias!
  16. Is that a red HEADLESS Newport on top ?!?! Also, did you see if that Standard with the split headstock is an 8- or a 12ver?
