  1. That's so typical of Guitar Center, most their listings have crappy pics. I wouldn't be surprised if some stores still use flip phones to take photos.
  2. GC had this for a while, at least a month or so.
  3. That video tells such a cool story! Someone mentioned that a member of this forum used to own the guitar. It seems that a member of the forum bought the guitar, had it repainted and then the original owner got it back.
  4. Custom painted. Some mods. $4K Seller description: "i had this custom made for me in 1989 when the Hamer company was located in Arlington Heights Illinois - i made a video about this guitar for my Youtube channel check it out my channel is NEDDI STANZ - this guitar is in excellent shape - i couldn't find any cracks or chips - the only issue i found is the long inlay on the 21st fret looks like it has a crack in the middle but i couldn't feel it but i did want to mention it - the nut width is 1 5/8" and the scale length is 24 3/4" - here are some details: Details: 22 medium jumbo nickel frets, mahogany body, set neck, rosewood board, 2H- Dimarzio SD TB-5 (B) and PAF (N), OFR, Vol, Vol, Tone, 3 way toggle, black hardware. Mods: Jay Kolnada at NTL Guitars in Nashville routed under OFR for full range pull up on bar, dressed frets, replaced tone pot w/ push/push for tapping, rewired to original specs, installed and set up new OFR, replaced stock strap locks with Schaller locking, removed personalized inlay and replaced with blank MOP. New customized truss rod cover from Frets on the Net. Ben Stikeleather at ROWYCO Kustoms repainted from original white and black motif to current green and black motif."
  5. Nice Schenker V, $4K price is on a higher side though. These seem to be super rare (less than 100 made). I remember a 2018 discussion a listing of same model at $2.5K and agreement was it's too high. https://reverb.com/item/87508618-hamer-michael-schenker-vector-model-1982-black-and-white
  6. This one was selling for $4.5K back in October 2024:
  7. Black Sunburst? You can't even see the burst
  8. Yes, he played numerous V style guitars, he's a huge fan of them. He was one of the people who made white V guitars popular (along with Scorpions) His main V guitar was white Gibson Flying V from the 1970s, which he played through most of the 1980s. Hamer Vector, you can see it on the cover of his Classical album from 1997. In the 1990s he also used white Jackson King V. In 2010s and currently he performs with white Framus V.
  9. Seller also listed double-neck Gibson played by Jimmy Page (not owned, just played by) for $86K! I'd say his prices are super optimistic.
  10. Extremely nice and cool Hamer made for and played by Accept lead guitarist Wolf Hoffmann. Awesome guitar, not so cool price of $30K. IMHO their asking price is way too high. Owned and used by Wolf Hoffmann from Accept. Hamer California Strat serial #436609. This is the first guitar made by Hamer specialy for Wolf in the early 90's, based on their California model. It replaced the St.Blues strat which Wolf had used until then. this guitar was used extensively throughout the 90's. live and in studio, also during the European festival run in 2005 (Wacken etc). All of the guitar tracks on "Blood of the nations" were recorded with it in Andy Sneaps Backstage studio in the UK.Certificate of auth enticity signed by Wolf included. https://reverb.com/item/87017680-hamer-custom-california-strat-early-90-s-perloid-finish
  11. Well, it's Gruhn, everything they sell is expensive
  12. I found instructions on how to paint Franken Stripes, it looks like you need to get black version, then apply white and finally red colors. https://www.stewmac.com/video-and-ideas/online-resources/learn-about-instrument-finishing-and-finish-repair/paint-your-own-frankenstrat/?srsltid=AfmBOopiYFdjKvQMbgYw8EcWhIIAgg2yRaVZ5YYLXGcVb9RAOFE96Z_p Could be a fun project!
  13. wow, this looks tempting! Striped ones are still almost $2K. Is there a quick way to paint one of these into a striped version? I've got some masking tape and spray paint, I'd like to know how Eddie did this. It looks like you need to get white version and apply tape and spray with black and then with red.
  14. why do some of his guitars have double years? I.e. "Gibson Kalamazoo, Michigan 1954 and 1972...The Oxblood" Are they some sort of a partcasters assembled from 1956 and 1972 components?
  15. ...but would it be $4K differently?
  16. Refinished unfortunately
  17. That's sweet! I used to own almost identical Special from 1981
  18. this is cool and rare, but wouldn't you get similar sound with two 4x cabinets?
  19. $2,530.73 for a Daytona? That's more than double they go for
