The Bill Armitage on Jol's Blog is NOT me
Buzzy Fretts replied to Armitage's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
if the poster can be sent a message, send a simple one that includes a small image that is hosted on a website. most webhosting allows logging - which records what IP address is viewing any images it hosts. name the image something that can easily be located in a long list. such as HHHHHHHHHereItIs.jpg. then copy and paste the IP info into one of the websites that track their location. -

Who actually owns a full stack?
Buzzy Fretts replied to DavidE's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
its a full stack. its just height-challenged. -
the underpinning of this question is the feeling that being unknown in the mass media = doing nothing of value. I've considered this over the years as it informs the other age old questions "where are they now?" and "what happened to...?" I think this says more about our culture than it does about a particular career in the peforming arts. someone who has a fruitful career in music and then moves on to other pastures may well be expanding their horizen and not simply accepting a consolation prize in life.

so sorry to hear that. I buried my mom a few years ago - seems like yesterday. take care.

i've seen them in concert three times and they will blow you away, they are the ultimate combination of technique, fire , passion and taste, they really started the whole nouveau flamenco thing except they're a little more adventuorus and not so homogenized as some of the guys i hear doing it now(estaban, sorry dude but he's corny)............. strunz & farah. I like these guys - saw em once. Paco Lucia was certainly in the vangard in this movement. A few years earlier I think but less well universally popular. another name to add here is Otmar Leiberman (sp?). all these guys have wick chops and taste to spare. I don't know rodrigo y gabriella but will track them down.

there's a few live recordings on my website of my 000-ecfh recorded direct through the board using the K&K. I use Tomastic Infeld strings to cut back on swirling overtones and focus more on the wood. FYI The quieter tunes recorded better because they avoided phase issues with the vocal mic.

I'm a martin guy myself. (woody vrs chimey harmonic overtones) but if you're thinking taylor, check out the breedloves before buying. on the Martin side, consider sidestepping the dred and look to either an OM or 000, the latter if you expect to play lots of rock or blues riffs woven into your rhythm. install an aftermarket K&K Pure Western hybrid (internal mic and bridge-plate mounted system). you won't be disappointed.

take care. wishing you, your mom, and your family all well.

I dunno. but I hear timpanis...

Hmmmm. I wonder if this will make Hamer a larger target for future copyright infringment BS from Gibson. We always got the idea that among other considerations, the footprint in the market place made by Hamer was not worth persuing. Good luck Jol and team USA. We're rooting for you!

Favorite bands that went nowhere, dept.

I used to head out to LI to catch Rat Race Choir all the time. Their covers of Tull and Zep were unmatched.
