  1. LOL!!! I thought the same thing Dave. Honestly, you can't make this stuff up.
  2. Yeah....but my wife is *smokin* hot. LOL!!!
  3. And it is that post on TGP that shoots your theory right out the window. I put it up there to see what the people *outside* the HFC thought. Most of them have zero idea about Jols negative image on this board and guess what, they think it is nuts as well. That being said, my post had zero to do with your stance on this subject because truth be told, I couldn't give a shit which way you lean. My post was directed at your coming into a thread that was obviously controversial and posting nonsense like calling people who disagree with you "bunch of crybabies", "three fiddy crowd", and "pricks for shitting on everything about a website & business in development". I stand by my assessment of a person who makes a post like that on a thread like this. Count your blessing 'cuz you are damn lucky you didn't get a vacation for that.
  4. This post reminds me of a famous saying... It is better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and resolve all doubt. ~Abraham Lincoln
  5. ROTFLMAO!! +1
  6. I'll also add that there is a big difference between criticism of his business practices and a personal attack. Even Jol's biggest critics (I'm one) will tell you that he is a nice guy and wish him well. I have met and talked with Jol and genuinely liked the guy. I personally do not think that his new endeavor will garner the interest that he seems to think it will. That being said, I respect the man for having the balls to try something like this.
  7. You have obviously never driven through Northview Heights in Pittsburgh.
  8. Get it straight...that was 3 years ago, and trust me when I say that she would have kicked %99 of this boards ass. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
  9. Children.....don't make me come in there and bust open a can of whoop ass. Easy to say when medicated. LOL!!! How you feeling bro?
  10. I still use it for certain things. Example... I just bought two pairs of shoes. Both were $300+ Mephisto loafers. Thats $600 worth of shoes. No way I can afford that. I go to ebay and find them for a grand total of $130...for both. Both were from sellers with 10K transactions and zero negative feedback. I felt comfortable with that and got a great deal on some spectacular shoes that were brand new in the box. I'll also look for high end clothing from reputable sellers from time to time. I have received some great deals. I do not buy from individuals on ebay, I stick with the stores.
  11. Get well bro!! And *please* stash some of the narcotics to send my way. LOL!!!
  12. Isn't that close to a Talledega with singles?
  13. Yes, but it is unclear if it was voluntary or he was asked to leave. Obviously everyone will have an opinion on this (lord knows I have mine) but the fact is that nobody knows for sure other than Jol and Fender. One thing is clear... It is looking like Hamer is much more open to ideas from its customers. Just take a look at some of the insane guitars that are being built.
  14. YIKES!! never heard of the guy. Looks like i need to check him out. Thanks for the heads up!
  15. From what I understand, there is also an issue with what *exactly* constitutes a "full synthetic" oil. Mobile 1 and Royal Purple are the standard, but there are a wide range of oils that claim to be synthetic but are really just regular old dino oil that has been enhanced in some way that is beyond my comprehension. Like I said, I stock up on Mobile 1 when Costco has it on sale. They normally have it on sale about 2 times a year which is more than enough for me because I put roughly 10k miles a year on my car.
  16. Yeah but yours is an opinion and mine is fact. ROTFLMAO!!!
  17. Yes...and I agree. But you aren't looking at this from a DT fan's perspective. To DT fans this guy is every bit as important. I was stunned at the ovation that Portnoy received at G3. When he came on stage the place went nuts. Granted that was a major music geek concert...but that is who constitutes the vast majority of DTs fans. I would actually argue that this is closer to a Peart situation than the guy from Slayer.
  18. Agreed...not the same, but similar none the less.
  19. I guess everyone's ideas are opinions and yours are fact? LOL!!
  20. Not sure where you live but I have only heard one song from DT on the radio and that was Pull Me Under. Maybe they get airplay by you, but I would bet that the vast majority of DT fans don't look to hear them on the radio. Get your panties out of the bunch...
  21. The "less musically inclined" are not DT fans. Your argument doesn't hold water in this particular example. Jaye said it best when he compared his leaving to Peart leaving Rush. Bingo...you beat me to it.
  22. What makes you think that DT fans are "average Joe radio listeners"? Fans of that type of music are not radio listeners in any sense of the word. I am not a DT fan. I like some of their stuff but wouldn't consider myself a fan at all. I *have* seen this guy live though, and he is an absolute monster. He was Petrucci's drummer on the G3 tour.
  23. +1. To be fair to Hamer, the early Gibson single cut Jrs had the same style of neck joint and I have never heard anyone complain about them.
  24. $1500.....ouch. Someone is taking a bath on that one, those buggers were ex...pens...ive.
  25. I wait for Mobile 1 to go on sale and stock up when it is. I can get it for well under $30 for a 6 pack at Costco and $21 for 5 quarts at Wall-Mart. I then get either a Mobile-1 filter or a Royal Purple filter. I look at it this way.... I have no idea if it is better or not, but I figure for around $20 extra an oil change it is worth it just in case it is better. $20 extra dollars twice a year isn't going to break my bank.
