Hondo's, Aria's and Ibanez copies - When I was a kid, every time we visited to local mall, I always HAD to stop in at Troup's music (I think it was). They always had LP and strat copies that I wanted to take home, but never did.

First decent guitar was my '76 SG Standard in burgundy (red). I remember seeing BTO on one of the News Years Eve shows on TV and Blair Thorton was playing one. Also Barry Goudreau of Boston. My family made a trip to Levin's in DC where they had a brown one, and I inquired about a red one. They took me downstairs to extra inventory and pulled out a red "blemish" one (minor bump out in wood somewhere ). So that's the one a bought for my Christmas present. Got me through HS and college. Only one of 100-200 guitars I kept, with varied modifications.

The sound of god right there folks. Incredible. Too bad I'm in a retirement home and with terrible hearing.

I certainly grew up on Rush. I wore out All the World's a Stage, but I also love Hemispheres and Farewell to Kings. Not so much a fan of newer material though (I'm that way with all bands).

Alas, time to sell another fine Hamer that isn't getting the playing time it should be. This is an all mahogany version, with sustain block in very good condition. The neck is a nice medium shape and the guitar's action is nice and low (and plays extremely well). No breaks, cracks or repairs. Lightweight. These mahogany vectors are just as good or better than the korina versions (as I've owned both, YMMV). I just have too many other guitars I reach for first. No trades (too many guitars/amps already).
