My Proto II is great. Kahler works well for and guitar sounds great. Love the neck and all the tone options with the pickups. -

PSA '84 Proto II

I hope they get that price. Not that I intend to sell mine anytime soon but maybe that would give my kids a little more cash when I'm gone... -

I just realized a big difference between my guitar buying and my wife’s shoe buying. I can donate my guitars or amps to any student who wants to learn how to use them. My wife’s shoes? They can only go to a specific subset of women with the same shoe size. I can give my guitars to anyone. Her shoes have to go to a specific subset of the population. Guitars are a more equitable purchase. there! That will show her…😁🤣 -

I got this one on a stupid deal of the day. https://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/live-wire-pb300-club-pedalboard-with-soft-case/l87497000000000?source=3WWRWXGG&utm_medium=paid-search&utm_channel=paid-search&utm_source=google&utm_platform=google&utm_campaign=MF_G_NTM_SEM-DSA_Amps-Effects_Effects&utm_ct=ntm&utm_tactic=prospecting&utm_segment=amp-effect&utm_term=&utm_content=664971538783&gad_source=1 Well made, sturdy and plenty big enough for 5 pedals. -

I have an Hartke HD 75. Great sounding bass amp. I wish the controls were on the front like that one. -
I've never really bought anything that I worried one iota about what I could sell it for... I guess it is because I just don't buy that much stuff. I only buy if I really, really want it. or if it is Really , really cheap or at least a good price. I like the familiarity of things I am comfortable with. Of the 9 guitars I have bought I still have 6 of them. I have bought a few pedals recently but all were on sale and almost all not expensive. I am just a hobbyist musician so this is not a money decision, it is a do I want it decision. I will have to figure out if I want to sell anything soon. My kids don't play so I have to get rid of the few things I have. Nothing I have is unique. 83 cruise, 84 Proto II, 84 Blitz bass and some imports. Maybe the Ibanez Phaser Tone II from the early 80's? Not really a sound of the modern Guitar player though.

Saw it today with the better half. Can't really take IMax anymore. So waited for regular theatre. Really enjoyed it. Renewed and reinvigorated my appreciation of Page and John Paul Jones. Bonham was always a giant and Plant also. The day included a trip to the Lotte Korean market for lunch which we promptly went in through the out door. 😄 It was a whole Lotte of Market! 😁 AHEMMMmm... Great movie. Cool to hear the Bonham comments from his previously unheard interview. Didn't remember how much Page was the leader and the recording studio was very interesting. I was just 9 when their first album came out. I have vivid memories of the Moon landing but I really didn't get in to Zeppelin till 1976 or so as a high school teenager. As I am sure is true for many of you. Led Zeppelin is a major influence of my life. See the movie.

I am not a fan of Lamar so I didn't enjoy the music much. I did enjoy some of the symbolism in the show. It seems very simple to me really. I am 65 and white. I was not the target demographic this time. Perfectly understandable for a national audience event. I don't care for his music but I did investigate some of his lyrics and songs. And I can appreciate his writing even it isn't meant for me. Just like I can appreciate many art forms have followers and can be considered quality, even if I don't like them. YMMV

His rhythms chording and melodic solos are what impressed me. And his unique hooks. also the fills. Mainly he was a complete package. -
MXR Rockman pedal video review, with Cali appearance
mathman replied to Jimbilly's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Anyone who is in to the digital amp sim process, Ik Multimedia has a Joe Satariani collection that has some great amps but it includes a rockman 100. I definitely enjoy jamming with it. It can be had pretty cheap during one their sales. The other amps sound great in a good computer setup. -
looks nice! recently got an 84 that's was modified but awesome basses. The Holy Rail? I mean the USA standard bass is the Holy Grail.... right?

what's your favorite tune to play along with?

I like to use blues or jazz backing tracks sometimes. Lawerence Fritts Backing Tracks are fun with a wide variety of blues styles. Years ago now, I downloaded hundreds of songs as .moog files. The multi track files that are in guitar hero games. Using reaper you can open them and then mute any tracks you want and then resave the song. works great to create backing tracks. I used them when I played for the kids at school. One other cool thing is you can solo a track and then hear just the guitar or bass track to help you learn it.
