Going up the neck, going down the neck and across the neck
mathman replied to mathman's question in Ask the HFC Experts
Thanks again. It started to make sense when I thought about the string skipping. I know I am sloppy with my picking and I think some of what I noticed was just me skipping strings easier going up rather than down. -

Going up the neck, going down the neck and across the neck
mathman replied to mathman's question in Ask the HFC Experts
Yes, this. I think it is partly picking technique. Should the first pick be up or down? -
Going up the neck, going down the neck and across the neck
mathman replied to mathman's question in Ask the HFC Experts
Yea, I was struggling to explain. Say you start at the 3rd fret on the low e string. Do a scale G A# then 3rd fret a string C D, then d string, F G, g string A# C, b string D F, e string G A#. I am sloppy and slow going from low E string 3rd fret to high e string 6th fret. Going in the opposite direction, high e string back to low e string, much cleaner and faster. -
Going up the neck, going down the neck and across the neck
mathman posted a question in Ask the HFC Experts
Is there some technique or way I can learn to improve going from low e strings to the high e strings in the same fret area? Sliding up the neck and going to the higher strings is fluid and easy. Going from the high e to the low e across the same frets is easy. going from the low e to the high e in the same fret area is clumsy for me. Always has been. Could it be picking technique? Any ideas? Thanks -
Pictures will help.

iPhones for the family. I got the iphone 6 with 64 gb and the rest of the ik multimedia amps for the iphone. My son got the 6 plus which is like a mini tablet for him, wife got a 16gb 6 and my daughter got the 5s with 32 gb. Happy kids. Nice to finally have a smart phone. None of us have had one till now.

The only thing missing to match my memories was various Led Zep albums listed as being played, Btw, you can go back again. -
I never "got" KISS. But they were big with my friends. I liked a few songs. To me they were like the Ramones but faking it. ( I realize the Ramones were later and I loved the Ramones!). While the Ramones were honest root rock, KISS always seemed an act. Just my opinion.

Just want to say I was always a Winger Fan. Would love to see them one day. Even now.

Good luck. Maybe someday I can place an order but it won't be on this run.

iRig, Alessis Jam, Line 6 Sonic Port? Something to travel with.
mathman replied to Uncle Thor's Hamer's question in Ask the HFC Experts
I was interested in the iloud also. I am curioius what you think of it. I have a $100 in Jam points that I could use to discount the iloud but I decided to get this: instead. Expedition Express from Samson. I listened to the iLoud once and it sounded pretty good but they guy at Guitar center didn't have much to play through it and I didn't have my iPod. The other thing that turned me away was the irig circuit. They have the irig hd now and I would prefer an iLoud with the irig hd built in rather than the older irig. The Expedition Express gave me similiar sound plus a three channel mixer with both xlr and standard inputs and also has the bluetooth connectivity. It is bigger but not so big that I can't use it for many of the same things and I can plug my ipad right in and use the irig I already have plus connect a good mic and rock out. so far very happy. I think I'll copy this over to a NGD post. -

I have the original irig and it works ok. The new irig hd has good reviews. I still use the irig but when i bought a new computer interface I bought one that would also work with the ipad when Iwantbetter sound quality. The irig is good enough for just practice and travel jamming. -

It is the most beautiful and the most sad thing I think I have ever seen. Congrats Davidb, congrats to all the master artists at Hamer for creating such works of art which are used to create works of art. -
that is sad. I remember seeing our plant after it had closed. Reminds of this. Hell, we only packaged eggs but it was a life long business for me at the time.
