  1. Thank you for the beautiful guitars you guys built. This is a sad day for artists.
  2. If possible I would love to be involved with it when it comes back to Florida. I didn't know or meet Wyldbil but I did read about him and feel it was my loss that I didn't.
  3. My butt itches twice and I ate cheese last night.
  4. Salem, is that you? The imports are a fine guitar (except for the newer Slammer series) but do not compare with the USA models. I started playing bass with a USA Cruise Bass (and a USA Fender), then got the XT version import as a step to playing guitar more and finally added a USA Prototype which is far and away a better guitar.
  5. Kid sounded great! Hope you don't pull it too soon. I gonna try to learn it from your video! Thanks.
  6. Very awesomy cool...
  7. Happy Birthdays!!
  8. I am no expert but I always thought if you buy stolen merchandise you had to forfeit it back to the owner whether you knew it was stolen when you bought it or not. Maybe it is a state to state situation where that doesn't apply.
  9. Now THAT looks familiar.....Wish mine was not a beater. I've put a few dents in mine but it still is the most amazing guitar ever. It can do it all.
  10. My main go to.
  11. I'm far from the expert but my 84 with kahler has one volume, one tone, and a three way switch for bridge, mixed, and neck, and a two way switch that changes from the single in the bridge to the humbucker in the bridge. So I can mix and match any combination except for the three coils on the bridge together. I've always wondered how that would sound combined.... ;-)
  12. What an totally amazing thread. Best of the interwebs by far!
  13. Update: I am playing guitar without gloves using only skin or rocktips again for the first time in over a year. I've been playing with gloves and rubber money counting fingertips covers for about a year while learning about eczema. In the course of my investigations I have starting increasing my intake of oils, such borage, flaxseed, vitamin E and increasing my intake of vitamin D both by natural methods and supplements. I've also improved my diet with more "live" foods and better oils such as coconut oils and started taking pro-biotics. I've found out my thyroid production is low and have increased my intake of iodine. What led to these decisions is that for most of my life I was always outside surfing, skateboarding, or working on our farm. In the last 4-5 years I have not been outside as much as I stopped playing softball and was having my kids do more of the yard work. I also had really reduced my salt intake to deal with high-blood pressure. In researching eczema I've learned that it can be diet related rather than contact dermatitis. I first thought the problem was contact issues but nothing I did make a real difference. The doctors I saw all focused on steroidal creams that had side effects that were detrimental to the problem: thinning skin. Since changing my diet I have slowly and steadily healed and the cycling effects of hardening, peeling, cracking, then healing have nearly completely stopped. Vitamin D deficiency is a problem for many older adults because of lack of exposure to sunlight. Cautious optimism in effect!
  14. My only standard is a XT version. Nice guitar for what it is. Haven't given up on a USA model but life is still kicking my ass. It just hasn't knocked me out yet! ;-) BTW, it has Kent Anderson pickups which sound pretty good in it. (meant to post in that other thread but didn't get too it)
  15. How and the hell do you play so clean with a glove on? My hands get like that too. The best thing to do, is when you go to bed, smather your hands in vaseline and put loose latex gloves on . It's like insta-skin. Bm I do the vaseline thing also but I use cotton gloves rather than latex. I've spent some time coming up with a way to keep playing. I buy cotton gloves from Walgreens that work pretty well for playing. I have to get them small enough so that they fit tight on the finger tips without bunching up. Those gloves are some nylon gloves made for using touch screens. I got a couple pair on clearance for 4 bucks a pair. They work pretty well. When my fingers are really bad I put the rubber coin finger tips under the gloves. The gloves fit pretty tight and I was getting quite desperate to be able to play.
  16. Just fucking awesome! how did I miss these guys????
  17. Here is something from last night. My fingers are finally not cracking and peeling and are a lot better but I still don't play as much and haven't yet tried to play without gloves.
  18. That's really funny Gonna have to watch this fo sho... It's a pretty funny movie.
  19. Amazing guitar. Enjoy!!!!
  20. That really sucks. Low people.
  21. I was definitely getting better till my fingers went crazy. I am finally getting my fingers healed and I've lost a bit but I think it will come back quicker once I get back to playing more.
