It's hard to stomach playing it, but somehow I carry on

I got one of the Vs. Really nice guitar, extremely lightweight, very loud wood! A photo of mine is attached. I get compliments on this guitar when I play out. I paid much less than MAP - strikes me that it was probably ballpark to what a new Hamer would have cost when there were still new Hamers. Only complaint, the pickups are unpotted ... the neck pickup squealed. New WCRs fixed that.

WOW! That's a freakin' deal. Might be the best deal I've ever gotten on a guitar, maybe Ive ever gotten on the Internet. This guitar was $1200 or more new just last week.

I'd love to play weddings but I have no idea how to crack into that scene. The bar thing is fun but not great pay ... Works out to less than $20 per hour typically if you include set up and tear down.

I pulled the double ds and the 4 way switch - now has a three way switch and WCR godwoods (perfect fit). Double ds were nice ...but full of single coil hum. This guitar smokes with godwoods - light as a feather, huge tone and a nice snap from the longer scale length.

Well that's awesome! BTW, in the event you decide to do more cork-sniffing with pickups, talk to Jim Wagner at WCR. Everyone I've met who has his pickups swear by them ... and I agree. For what it's worth, I think Bonamassa uses WCRs. People here also talk highly of "Gregwinds" but I have not had the opportunity to play them yet.

Just got one of the Chandler ones for my 97 Korina Vector in tort shell. Exact fit except two of the screw holes were a bit off. This is an easy fix if you are willing to drill through the guard in those two spots. Congrats on your purchase, it's a killer guitar. I bought Wolfetone Marshallhead pickups for this guitar and I like them. I also like the WCR pickups, seems you can't go wrong.

There's freeware called Audacity that I use ... Slows down tempo, preserves pitch ... Or preserves tempo and adjusts pitch. Really helpful for me.

WCR godwood bridge. Best pickup I've played (although I have yet to try the DiMarzio everyone is talking about). I prefer it to the Marshallhead, but only by a little, I like the Marshallhead a lot. The godwood bridge is 10.3K I think. It's not cheap, but it is worth it. Plus Jim Wagner is a good guy and easy to deal with. My 2 cents.

I think it's smaller. I have a Daytona, and a bar that fits the Daytona doesn't fit the Mirage. O.k., that's weird, because they should have the exact same trem?!? - Austin I know -- but I tried each of the trem bars from the Daytona ( that you sent me -- ) and none fit.
