  3. Its pretty! The difference between the neck and body colour is because the neck is maple on the Floyded guitars rather than mahogany. Cheers! Ben.
  4. Apart from a few - such as anything with a 1040 calibre - such as the Tru-Beat (Ref 6556) - which ticks once per second just like quartz and was designed for use by medical professionals to more easily check heart rates 😜 . It has a cool crosshair dial too ...or any Oysterquartz models (which are increasing coolness every day)!
  5. Hello chaps, Is there a link published for the stream - that we might jump onto? Best wishes, Ben. PS. Salmon Blush Centaura you say Chris H, AND a T-62?
  6. Ahhhhh - the misspelt thing has worked for me in the past - [Hammer California anyone !] Thats a great shout - well done!!
  7. I could smell this was about Heritage!!
  8. Yeah I reckon you are spot-on with the neck refin - super guitar - I wonder where you spotted this one - I do pour over lots of Japanese sites and aggregators looking for guitars - but can't remember seeing this one - so I'm guessing it was off the beaten track somewhere?
  9. I recently replaced a 36th Anniversary PAF (black coils), with an original old PAF (Cream coils), in my 1979 SB - to get it back to as close to original as I could. Heres the thing... ...it sounds EXACTLY the same with either pickup!
  10. Hey funnily enough, my early Cali - 1988 - had a centre line strap button as well - ! think that changes in 1990 or so - especially as your 1989 followed suit. Cheers! Ben.
  11. Hi all, (In the UK at least) Ebay has notified that it has scrapped seller fees effective immediately. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2024/oct/01/online-retailer-ebay-scraps-fees-for-private-sellers-in-uk That should flush out some more listings... Cheers, Ben.
  12. I love the Boss Dimension DC-2w but also the super cheap TC Electronics equivalent which is mono only but only cost me £30 delivered!
  13. Hello! Heres a snip from another thread where I've gone throuhg some details on shipping I've used to transport and insure various expensive guitars including a Watson and a Virt - hope its helpful - check the links out. Whenever I can - I like to arrange reverse shipping - using a UK based international courier broker like Transglobal Express to pick up an item from say the US, and transport it to me in the UK - it's almost always less expensive that USPS for example or my seller arranging transport. https://www.transglobalexpress.co.uk/ I tend to buy insurance for the item in transit from Secursus - again less expensive than buying insurance from the courier themselves. https://www.secursus.com/ Cheers, Ben. 14. They Yellow Cali sold on Friday and already up for sale on Reverb from its new owner- looks like an undercover dealer did a swiftly flippy.
  15. It’s as cool as fuck
  16. It’s going to be fun to check mine!
  17. I think it’s number 1 based on your middle pickup activated positions. I’d need to check on my SS-1
  18. I think you are missing neck selected on the 3 way selected and middle pickup engaged with the 2 way
  19. It was one piece mahogany necks not maple necks that had the issues. Hamer made one piece maple necks as standard for Centauras, Diablos, Vintage S, T62, T51 and Daytonas and three piece maple necks as standard for Californians and Chaparrals and others. A one piece neck on a Cali is somewhat unusual but I’ve seen at least one other like that which was for sale in Japan - and as Jason’s is an early one - 1988 - so to me it makes it even more interesting.
  20. /\ - you might have some competition for that one...
  21. One day my prince will come…
  22. What the HFC?
  23. I've seen some with red paint on them and some with that brown and red fading paint
