Congrats, sort of. I had all but decided to buy it, but it wasn't for sale long enough for me to make up my mind. Enjoy it!

OK - I just ordered a set of the Rock Formula 10s. Let's time it!

First, I have no business being in this thread. With that out of the way, I feel like I have a keeper now. I think I'm going to have to vote for "wow." I used to look for features, thinking that if I owned only one guitar I want it to do everything (trem, frets, splits, piezo, LEDs, waffle iron). I also only bought guitars at great prices, as I was going to sell them sooner or later (mostly sooner). I wanted mint and pristine, all original without mods or significant work. I wanted (and still want) them to look cool. I feel pretty darn sure my Sunburst is a keeper. I love it. I say "wow" every time I play it - heck, every time I see it. It meets almost none of my former criteria. - I paid significantly more than market price - I then had it refretted (adding even more to the price) - I replaced a pickup (more $) - It has only (egad!) 22 frets - no trem - no coil splits - much finish checking, nicks, cracks, wear At this point I'd lose my ass if I tried to sell it, but I have absolutely no desire to anyway. So, I am calling this my keeper. I think it's the "wow" thing, as I've had resonant, great looking, great playing guitars in the past and have been able to sell them with no regret. Any reasonable person would be thrilled with any guitar I have owned; all top notch. So, ummm, "wow" is my answer. Oh, and it can't be a Peavey.

Fair question. I said the same thing myself. I thought so, too, but that's what his last shipment cost in the guitar box he has. I think he just ended up with a box that was a little too large to keep it inexpensive. I suggested that he cut the length down, and he will do what he can to minimize the cost. He also updated the listings to state that he would refund the shipping difference if it turned out to be less. I think it's too high as well, but it seems to vary based on the shipping distance. I know he's not out to make any money on shipping for what it's worth.

"auction ends this weekend" bump for a good friend. I got to see this guitar. I dislike the term "mint," so I will say it's 99.999999999. He's also listed a Les Paul Standard Premium Turbo Ultra Plus if anyone wants one of those. Thanks for looking.

Just a bump to mention it as a PSA. This is my good friend's other NOS Hamer snag. He has decided to keep only the T51, so this one is up for grabs. I have only a question, but with the eBay link I assume it should go in this forum. My friend has decided to sell his other NOS Hamer purchase on eBay. He has received a question about it not saying "Special" on the headstock. My '93 did. His '97 doesn't. Did Hamer stop using them at some point, or was it hit or miss, or ... Thanks. That's how I found mine. I had never heard of Hamer. I typed "Les Paul" in the Gear Page classifieds. Luckily the owner typed something like "better than any Les Paul..." and I hit Google. Found this place, bought the guitar, and lost my mind... Edited to add (and I know this is unlike me to say): You shouldn't have sold that one! That top is perfection.

Mine - 2002 Tobacco Monaco Elite Little did I know that buying it and joining the HFC would send me into an insane spiral of buying and selling. As as side note, I feel content with my guitar and amp setup now. It is a really strange feeling.

I didn't know they made Watsons with LEDs. That is too cool. I will also take the Standard. I have been trying to get Kis to let go of the purple Improv with the EMGs, so wish me luck.

I've got it on pretty good authority that many of the groundbreaking tracks on The Grand Illusion were recorded on the 2007 Strat I have for sale here. I have a note from Mr. Shaw documenting ownership somewhere. I am not even adding a premium to the price for it, mostly because I'm such a cool guy. Punkavenger, yours has the "look" as well - very nice. I scribbled down your intriguing EQ settings. MCChris, the Mesa is being played by the singer/guitarist? "Long Live the Head" rocks. I haven't listened to them all yet.
