  1. Kilroy was here, thanks Willie!
  2. The new cover band project I'd had been working on hit a stumbling block last month when our singer/second guitarist flaked. We're going to resume things here soon and check out some singers/pickers. I have to freshen up on tunes and try to fatten them up until we find another player.
  3. Here's just one possibility. It's a safe bet that the Vector neck joint is unlike any of the other models. Since most of the initial cutting is done on a CNC the choice to deny your request is simply a programing headache. Each component has it's own program and trying to punch in neck joint C with headstock A for one neck is not as easy as it sounds. Sometimes what seems like a reasonable request in reality is a production pain in the ass and profitable. Or it could be the reason Kiz posted initially .
  4. AC/DC Supersuckers Brian Setzer-Cats, BSO, solo
  5. Kind of. There's a subgroup of "goddamn hippies" (that was the just funnin' part) that I refer to as "Trustafarians" that seems to feel that while tobacco smoke is one of the most offensive things known to man marijuana smoke is somehow different and does not posess the same secondhand effect. Smoke is smoke be it tobakky, weed, or pork.
  6. What I tell my non drinking, weed smoking buddies when they ask why I don't smoke grass is that just imagine if they wanted to have a drink but the only alcohol available was Wild Turkey in 8 ounce shots, no sippin', just shoot it. But yeah legalize weed but all you goddamn hippies would have smoke that shit outside too.
  7. What does that translate to in US funds? I got one and it's signed to boot!
  8. I like morning wood. Dead arm bandit is fun.
  9. I was flipping through an issue of Guitar Player from 1985 this morning and ran across an article on bursts. This sentence kind of grabbed me. "I have even heard of bursts going for as much as $14,000!".
  10. Probably not...even if I had $300K burning a hole in my pocket. However...and this brings us back to the original post...if you could get an original 'burst for $3,000 (what an R9 goes for) wouldn't you buy one? ...or ten? Why of course and then I'd flip 'em all and buy something useful like Molly Ringwald's panties .
  11. Indeed.
  12. Like I said and not taking the investment angle into consideration I'm sure a real burst probablly does sound and feel better than a reissue does a real burst sound three hunnert grand better than reissue?
  13. I can't say I have a preference but the way most vintage guitars are priced they are not even an option for me. I'm sure the great ones are great but to me (and even though I haven't had many ocasions to paw real vintage gear) there is no way they sound and feel X amount of dollars better than new stuff, coughtengrandpaf'scough! I'm sure others feel differently.
  14. "Lookin' for love in all the wrong places, givin' Abraham Lincolns to a stripper with braces, she thinks I'm in love and I know that sucks, 'cause she's leavin' with the DJ and my twenty five bucks" Marvelous Three
  15. "probably used" HA! That's like a news paper article I read recently about a country club I used to work at burning down, "The fire went undetected until it was detected.
  16. Only holy if they are double cremes and priced accordinglly. Zakk likes EMG's.
  17. What's new about Fruscante? I've been listening to him for almost 20 years.
  18. Yes he rocked but the Garmin commercial had the shredding going ON!
  19. As a shorty in 3rd grade it was Ace's LP. When I started playing in 7th grade MTV was new and the Journy concert was in heavy rotation. I loved Neal's black Floyded LP Standard. Gary Richrath and Aldo Nova had some sweet flametops. Uncle Ricks checkerboard Standard was very cool. Also loved Niel Giraldo's BC Riches too. Can't forget the Foghat concert and Rod Price's blue Strat.
  20. I suppose I could have, had I taken the picture... Here ya go, Big Ben. Fatty likes to rock.
  21. Ya coulda cropped the mic on your right outta the pic and left me in, jeeze .
