  1. Yes, it was my idea. I thought tort binding would blend really nicely with jazzburst, but I wanted both the top and side with a multi-ply to make it pop a bit. I explained it to BCR Greg, and he knew exactly what we needed. I had never heard of "stacked purfling" before, but I had seen acoustics with it before. Greg worked some magic with the shop to get this done. The anniversary inlays were a tough sell, and note that the f-hole has the binding stacked as well. I still have no idea how they did that.
  2. That was (and still is) mine. Still kicking butt, in spite of my meager skills.
  3. That was moozak's originally. Not sure if he still has it. That was a righteous guitar.
  4. I really need to take new pictures - most of these guitars are long gone...
  5. ^-- MWFS (Momentarily Wiener Free Stage) Had a great time - thanks for doing this and including me, Bruce!
  6. Good hearing from you. Hope things are improving and continue to improve!
  7. It has that "brown sound".... Apologies. Someone was bound to say it at some point...
  8. : ) Needs another line that says, "when given sheet music", and roll it back to about 2 or 3...
  9. Not sure I have a favorite, but I like *trying* to get piano parts on guitar. Like dis (Shishkov content)
  10. I love the look. Headless guitars are *very* comfortable to play. I wouldn't mind a 7 string, but, yeah, I like big necks, and i cannot lie... I went through a Steinberger phase a looong time back. As much as i liked it, I could never get it to sound better than "ok". I think i settled on that it was the lack of a headstock that squashed the sound.
  11. Looks like a broken and glued headstock....
  12. ...I should have added: and paint it zebra stripe...
