You don't have to use the second channel at all. I run mine clean (channel 1) and use pedals for grit. Works a charm.

Are you getting static/clipping? It's most frustrating - some people report it, but I down't know the cause.

Please pardon me, complete beginner's question, but: what years did the Sunbursts come with a Gibson-style bridge as shown throughout this thread? And how does such a Sunburst model differ from a Studio - did the two models overlap?
