  1. Hi everyone, Winter is here and I'm feeling nostalgic. Once upon a time, I had a Monaco Elite. I sold it to help pay for a car. No regrets, but I do wish I had taken more pictures of it than I had, and now that my hard drive died, I have no photos of it at all. Perhaps one of you can help. I believe one of you might even have it. It was made around 2002/2003. It had a quilt maple top, ebony fingerboard, and a cherry sunburst finish, but what set this thing apart from the get go is that it came with a pick guard. It had the pick guard when I bought it, so I don't know if it came out of the factory that way or if it was added on sometime later. Whoever bought it from me bought it with a Duncan Phat Cat in the neck position. I'd just like to see some pictures of it again. If someone here can help, I'd greatly appreciate it.
  2. The solos in Scar Tissue by John Frusciante. My FAVORITE solo is in a songs called Roustabouts by a band called Punch People. Their guitar player, Rock Whittington, is definitely one of my favorites.
  3. Am I too late? Incubus - Alive at the Red Rocks Foo Fighters - Skin and Bones Gorillaz - Live at the Manchester Opera House (my very favorite concert DVD) Red Hot Chili Peppers - Live at Slane Castle
  4. My very favorite band were a band from New Orleans called Punch People. They embodied everything that I wanted to do in music: energetic rock music mixed with a few jazzy licks. One of the most creative guitarists I've heard. When they were recording their thrid self-produced album, Hurricane Katrina hit and they had to sideline their music for a while. This is when their guitarist Rock Whittington answered a classified ad placed by a band called Damiera and joined them. Damiera were an excellent band as well, but no where near as good as Punch People. www.myspace.com/punchpeople And here's some Damiera
  5. I heard Incubus's Mike Einziger and bought a Boss Super Phaser, an MXR Phase 90, A Crybaby and a Boss DD-20. All are gone except for the delay.
  6. I like the feel, look and sound of ebony. Nothing against rosewood.
  7. Maps and Atlases -
  8. I've always liked the Recto distortion sound because my favorite bands have used it (Incubus, Punch People etc.) but the clean channel is just as important to me as the gain and the cleans on the Rectos are so sterile sounding to me. I like the crunch mode on the clean channel of the Deuce. It gives me that nice, transparent and slightly dirty clean sound that I like. Not to mention that if I do want to get that Recto type clean, I do have a fat clean mode on the Deuce.
  9. I have a Stiletto Deuce Stage I. I got the Hollywood mod done on it and it sounds awesome. It just tears it up!
  10. I was just wondering how many HFCers are Boogie owners? What's the general concensus, on Boogies here?
  11. "I'm gonna have to send you back to bitch school!" "If she's not on the 519, then I'm gonna know what sorrow means And I'm gonna cry, cry, cry, all the way home" "Workin on a sex farm Tryin' to raise some hard love Getting out my pitch fork Pokin' your hay"
  12. I have two. These come from two of my favorite bands right now. "Living like a fish inside my dirty bowl I'm breathing but I want to die" Punch People "We danced shoes on shoes To the sound of the spinning machines We slept arm in arm So soundly Ignoring the outside sounds Of the ongoing horrible scene" Maps and Atlases
  13. I offer my prayers for you.
  14. I thought that looked like BCR Burst! I think it's called vintage dark burst now. It's pretty damn sweet. I originally wanted my guitar in that finish.
