Sustainer is an electromagnetic driver/pickup designed to vibrate the strings of a guitar endessly, giving the effect of infinite sustaina you can managge or simulating amp feedback. I have an old DiMarzio square tabs PAF pickup I want to put a cover on. I got some recent original DiMarzio covers parts and don´t fit either on poles spacing. I got very surprised and wonder when they switched to another measurements. It says a 49.2 regular and 51. something .... one is short, the other is wider. The pickup reads 8.4 K resistance and has black and white wires under a supoussed to be braided wire. Where can I find a cover for this pickup? Thanks in advance.

Hello experts! I have a Les Paul Standard with predominant low mid range (more than I liked), hence neck pickup boom is excesive. I am thinking about two ways to get more high mids to balance the sound: 1) Changing neck pick for another one: Currently has an A2 magnets ´58 style modern replica. I had Throback SLE-101 before with worse results. I have thougth about a Hmaer late 70´s A5 (8.5 resistance) or a Gibson Burstbucker Pro A5. Also a boutique Wizz pickup. Anothe roptions? 2) The wiring has old vintage bumblebeer (the real ones) in specs 0.022 uf. I think about a mylar one for a change (either mylar bumblebee or a Cornell Dubilier green from 60´s used in hi-fi applications, maybe a russian white polypropilene K-75 used in cab circuits who have a fast response). What do you think? Thanks in advance.

Also, old GZ34s realibility is higher than current ones, they stand more current flowing. Some modern rectifiers failed easily.

I have lots of european and american tubes (about 200 units,maybe more). el-84-el34- gz34- ez81- ef86- ecc81-82-83 and american 6v6. All the tubes are tested in two tube testers modern one and Hickock 600A. Some are tested in a Funke 19 also. I am overseas however. Let me know if anyone is interested in. Gotoh turners are good and better than Klusons to me (I have both on guitars).

Centralab, until 1988, CTS then. I have some sets I got from Alpep 15 years ago. CTS Hamers have the special curve and 400K, DiMarzio Centralabs are similar in pecs to old ones.

Sure Murkat. Japanese put DiMarzios clones by Maxon or Gotoh on their early 80s guitars, Aria/Matsumoku guitars but also Tokai ( I have one on my parts bin).

After Shaws Gibson released 490s as Murkat well pointed. They are low resistance measurements around 7.4 K, check for a amultimeter an plug them in I had a set on a Tokai ES100 previous owner converted to early ES specs and put a Roland system. Back to otiginal specs but the wu¡iring and Seth Lover pickups set which I like a lot!

Book received and read Steve. I got it a the third try (It was discontinued I was told). I enjoy it a lot, and liked the Improv story and Artist Ultimate. Highly recomended! PS: Just for next edition ask publisher correcting a mistmatch in one of first pages.

Mine is is on the way finally! It took very long but I am willing to read it. It is a shame I am so far it cant be signed by the authors.

You can get Scalar strings from Germany(the same strings) but they are about 10 euro a set....These are really good strings I can say.
