zorrow Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 The title says it all, but I repeat: WTB flametop Standard with chunky neck, preferably Y2K’s —because these ones tend to have beefier profiles, apparently. By “chunky”, I mean C-shaped and around .880” on the first fret and .950” on the 12th, though will consider from .840” (1st) to .900” (12th) and thicker. If you want to sell one, please let me know. Thank you! 2 Quote
zorrow Posted June 1, 2024 Author Posted June 1, 2024 Well, I’ve been discussing with Paolo. 😉If he finally builds me a “Standard” to these specs, I will put this post to sleep for a while —or even delete it, if I finally find out how to do it. Nonetheless, here’s one last bump, just in case. 😉 Quote
velorush Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 Deleting a thread is simple. In a thread you originated (this one, for example), go to the initial post and at the right you'll see a "Moderation Options" drop down. Click that and "Delete" is the only option. 1 Quote
bry4321 Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 Simple if your “theme” at the bottom of the page is set to default and not Bravo 6! 2 Quote
atomicwash Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 It's awesome when someone knows the neck profile they prefer! I have a Tele and a Ric with those specs. Nice description. 2 1 Quote
Armitage Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 I've got 7 or 8 Standards here and not one would I call chunky... 2 Quote

atomicwash Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 I had a 2007 red Standard with matching headstock. It had a .87" depth at the first fret with healthy shoulders. Lovely neck. Trouble was... it was pushing ten pounds. Otherwise, an amazing guitar! 2 Quote

I recall that one I think - they were asking quite a bit if I recall - but it was awesome looking! Had a bareknuckle birdge pick up too. Quote

My "Pandemic Vee" is one of the finest guitars I've ever owned. The Explorer and La Paolo L.P. model are exemplary as well. 1 Quote

Yes, I’m already working with him on this guitar, as per my specs, as no flametop Standard actually popped. It will take some time, but my order got accepted and it’s moving forward. Thank you for letting me know Paolo existed! And if I like the first one, I might order a second one a bit more… different. 😉 2 Quote

I saw it later in ad on the west coast for way too much money. 1 Quote
