                           I kind of figured you would know about the guitar Chris. I don't follow Vai or his music much although I'm looking forward to hearing his interpretations of Fripps songs when he tours with Belew, Levin, and Danny Carey. If I would want to buy and own any Hamer artists guitars they would the ones used and owned by Vernon Reid. Great player and very cool guy, met him long, long ago just once.

Be prepared to write at length about the following topics:

*  The tactical advantages of a 5 fingered monkey grip.

*  The pros and cons of a recessed Floyd Rose versus a top mounted vibrato with DIY foam hand rest.

*  The merits of offering Steve a custom made guitar at a heavily discounted artist price VS giving him an annual allotment of free custom made guitars and a boat load of cash in exchange for using his name and likeness.

I saw an interview with Vai a while ago where he claimed the Jem was the best selling signature model of all time.
