cmatthes Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 They’ve been trying to sell that for years. 1 Quote
Travis Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 At that price, I think they’re going to keep trying for a few more years…. 1 3 Quote
Disturber Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 " Comes in an Ibanez Pink Lined Hardcase numbered 'Vai 81'" Non original case, that is a deal breaker for me. 8 Quote

I don't follow Vai or his music much although I'm looking forward to hearing his interpretations of Fripps songs when he tours with Belew, Levin, and Danny Carey. If I would want to buy and own any Hamer artists guitars they would the ones used and owned by Vernon Reid. Great player and very cool guy, met him long, long ago just once. 8 Quote
hamerhead Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Or... You could get 129.890 regular Hamers for that amount. 2 2 Quote

Biz Prof Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 There was a detailed thread on this one a few months ago. Search the site and perhaps you'll find it. 2 Quote

Be prepared to write at length about the following topics: * The tactical advantages of a 5 fingered monkey grip. * The pros and cons of a recessed Floyd Rose versus a top mounted vibrato with DIY foam hand rest. * The merits of offering Steve a custom made guitar at a heavily discounted artist price VS giving him an annual allotment of free custom made guitars and a boat load of cash in exchange for using his name and likeness. Jimbilly Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 I saw an interview with Vai a while ago where he claimed the Jem was the best selling signature model of all time. Les Paul would probably disagree. 2 2 7 Quote
