crunchee Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 Is it 'work', or is it 'fun', or a bit of both? Quote

Load-in is the rush-rush setup (work). 1st set = nervous tension due to lack of soundcheck (work). the 2nd set of 3 is always the fun-fun. 3rd set = "It's 12 midnight, and we are Still playing...shit, I have to break down and load after this, drive home and unload again!" 1 1 Quote
BoogieMKIIA Posted August 25, 2024 Author Posted August 25, 2024 Luckily we got a good sound check done early, mix was good. Great crowd, no stress any of the 3 sets. Tear-down and load out was standard and my commute home was about 5 minutes. 2 hours ago, HSB0531 said: Load-in is the rush-rush setup (work). 1st set = nervous tension due to lack of soundcheck (work). the 2nd set of 3 is always the fun-fun. 3rd set = "It's 12 midnight, and we are Still playing...shit, I have to break down and load after this, drive home and unload again!" 6 Quote

BoogieMKIIA Posted August 26, 2024 Author Posted August 26, 2024 We have a decent amount of places within one hour. Can meet up a ride together. Two yeas ago we played nearby on a Friday, 3+hour drive to Indy on Saturday - got home about 5 am Sunday. Then played a local winery Sunday afternoon. Hope to not repeat that again. Don't have to worry about dragging on Monday these days 1 Quote
