                                   Glad to hear that he will recover quickly................crazy! but unfortunately, all too common and that is the world we live in these days. I met him playing in a small club, chatted with me for a brief time...............nice regular guy who was just setting his equipment trying to make a living. Of course, he is an insanely great guitarist.

It seems it was a random shooter. That’s quite scary. I have several friends in Las Vegas. Hope the responsible will be caught, the sooner the better.

I will admit that it is really freaking strange for it to happen a few days before Ozzy's Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Induction as a solo artist.

The interviews I've watched of him point to a really nice, laid back dude... The kind that you could have a beer with and talk guitars and music, and just have a very enjoyable time with. I'm really glad he will recover, lets hope there aren't any long term repercussions from his injuries.

I also can't help but wonder about his doggo, and if he/she is ok.

ETA: Scum that does crap like this are worthless. To maim or kill someone for no reason, especially someone you don't even know, has got to be the most cowardly and selfish act anyone can commit. That's nothing short of playing God... No one has that right.

Reports as of this afternoon is that doggo was unharmed and is just fine.

Jake E. Lee has explained the circumstances behind the shooting incident that took place last week.

The guitarist was walking his dog late at night near his Las Vegas home when he was shot three times in what was first described as a random attack.

He’d previously said the shooter had emptied his clip and 15 shells had been found at the scene – noting that he could “only dodge so many, so one bullet went through my forearm, one through my foot, and one in the back, which broke a rib and damaged a lung.”

In a new update, Lee thanked fans for their continued concern and reported he was out of hospital and recuperating at home, while expressing gratitude to the medical staff who’d cared for him.

“Walking home from our walk, Coco and I crossed paths with a couple of thieves – dressed darkly, hoodies pulled down their faces and masks covering their mouths, standing in a neighbor’s driveway checking out his motorcycle.

“There was a verbal confrontation which ended with an agreement that I would walk one way and they would walk the opposite. That didn’t work out.”

He added: “I’ll probably talk in more detail about it later but right now I can only comfortably do a little at a time.”

The Las Vegas Review Journal reported that he’d been assisted by a neighbor who’d heard the shots, called 911 and run out of his home with a gun. The local police department said their investigation was continuing. Coco the dog was unharmed.

Agree, especially about the dog.

It is a cowardly act, and people are allowed the tools that allow high impact.

Not my photo. maybe 10-15 years ago. I have the small purple 8W Lockard. About 100 made in dude’s home.  I own two thinking the amp could skyrocket in price.

JEL preferred Stratocasters and had a pro shave headstock to make it look like a  Charvel so as to be status quo on LA scene..

I am not familiar with amps on the right.
