Jimbilly Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 Post a pic of your 40 year old Hamer. Maybe this has been done before?, I should have thought of this during the summer. I'll be able to start a 30 year thread if needed. This has a lot of fret wear for good reason, a great player. 10 Quote
BTMN Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 Don’t have any 1984 Hamers but I have a few that are older than that. Couple years from now I can post a 50 year old Hamer. Here’s a 41 year old Hamer Blitz 😎👍🏁 6 Quote
Cboss Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 My 2 '84's❤ Uploading them to this site flipped them sideways by the way; why is it so hard to post pictures here? 7 Quote

The Phantom bridge PU is a Seymour Duncan Jimmy Page Humbucker with chrome cap. The two DiMarzio Single Coils must be original. Didn't like the white P90 cap, so now the coil is visible now in black. The Prototype-PUs are bastards: a Gibson 498 Humbucker, a Seymour Duncan Power Single Coil, plus neck: Paul Reed Smith P90 . Bought them both with Ortiginal PUs around May 2021 in Bremen, North Germany (= Beck's Bier), for a very friendly price via eBay Kleinanzeigen. Great guitars, great sound possibilities 2 Quote

Stevens models had Floyd trems my mistake!, which is bad, because I own that proto ii above, and SS (1) and SS2, so I should know!, I'll blame that glass of wine or something. Yes, I don't believe I've seen another Proto 2 with crowns. 1 Quote
