Due to other stuff (buying a house, e,g.) it‘s been a while since I was active here. This is an attemp to change this, and what’s a better start than beginning to collect again. 🙂 Even if it is not (yet) Hamer related (and not Washburn related, too).

This is what the postman brought yesterday: A Peavey Steve Cropper Classic, US made and the sister of my beloved Peavey Generation 1. A nice green (!) guitar, sounding and playing great. It was the base model for the Generations Series, and you can tell the difference. One piece neck, passive PUs and a deeper neck joint. Pretty underrated and - at least here - hard to find…

NGD: Green guitars sound good, too

No wonder, green = yellow + BLUE!

Congrats on your find, I was eying on these models, too 😉

IIRC, if some blue guitars sit in sunlight or get heavy UV exposure, they can go green too.

Anybody remember the '80's Hamer 'Greenburst' Specials?

Whoa, that's cool. Looks Jonny Greenwood approved. Last year I modded a MIM Player Tele to an HS+killswitch config for my Radiohead tribute. If I had known about the Cropper I would've given one of those a shot 1st:
