diablo175 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Fourth time's the charm, apparently. Long, sordid story but in the end, UPS finally managed to pull their head out of their ass and deliver this much anticipated Iceman from Attila Custom Guitars. One piece, thick slab of a 'hog body, set maple neck and board, 24 stainless jumbo frets, Gravelin (what else?) Mongoose in the bridge and a Sustainiac in the neck position. Gotoh Floyd, kill switch tone pot. This thing is a BEAST! Likely the heaviest ax I've owned (other than my double neck Cali ) estimated at around 12 lbs. Initial test drive was insufficient to form any significant insights other than it needing a better set up and it sounding pretty big. A more scientific weighing and demo will occur today. Video to follow. 13 Quote
donner Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 (edited) Hooray for UPS and Congrats on an exceptional guitar, to say the least! (Had been very sorry for you between your last post and that one) Edited December 31, 2024 by donner 2 Quote
kizanski Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Glad it finally showed up. UPS dudes must have been rocking out with it in the back room. (Ask me how I know). 2 Quote
Joe K Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Love the Iceman design. Picked up this 1978 Greco Mirage M1000. 6 Quote

(Ask me how I know). Some things are better left unknown. I will say that if they did, they're far more skilled players (more tolerant, too) than me. That thing was NOT set up well and the action was roughly a half mile off the finger board. 2 Quote
