atomicwash Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 My band covers two of those songs. Nick played the Stoughton Opera House a few years back. After the show, he came into the bar across the street looking for his band. We got to talk to him for about an hour. He's a great storyteller! 5 Quote
RobB Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Got tix for Nick Lowe/Los Straitjackets in Feb. A winning combination! 6 Quote
cmatthes Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Nick is a true entertainer - like old school, with a capital "E" and all that. He is a gifted songwriter, storyteller and musician, and is always great to catch live. I've taken people to his shows who hadn't heard a single song of his before going, and they always have a similar, positive response afterwards- he still makes instant fans! 8 Quote
currypowder Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I've been fortunate to see Nick in a variety of configurations, starting with the Impossible Bird tour with Bill Kirchen. Whether he's by himself or with a full band, he never fails to put on a fabulous show full of great songs and stories. BTW, reading that article on my phone was incredibly frustrating with all the pop ups and refreshes. Maybe try it on a computer. 4 Quote
