Black Sunburst? You can't even see the burst

Not to mention, four grand for dots?

Hard pass.

Since both listings brought it up, did Sunbursts from this era really use solid maple tops (as in a real chunk of wood), or were they veneer like the Specials were?

It isn't all the way there, so I'll abstain.  But it's a strong 1.5 times the value.  And the market is soft.

This reminds me, isn't there some way to see what things have actually sold for on Reverb, as opposed to things that have sold accompanied by the asking price? Sales history or something like that?

Not that I'm aware of.  You might be thinking of ebay.

Those are beautiful! Is that an x2n in the bridge on the left? How did it sound in that guitar?

Here is a video from Mike Burn that demonstrates this very well. He is or was a member too.

Aaahhh, no its an Bill Lawrence and I cannot delete the post. But you can still enjoy the Sunburst demo.

Thank You.   It is, the pickup fit the guitar pretty well I have to say, it is what was in the guitar when I purchased the guitar off EBAY. [I believe I paid $1,200 for it shipped. Kahler Trem {Pat Pending} was not stock of course but it was done well, even so it lowered the price of the guitar. Both of those guitars were really good instruments. One is now owned by another HFC member.  dzNlF7Q.jpg

Yes it is.

But you know what they say about "like new" vintage guitars.

I don't..?

Well, many will say that the worn-to-hell ones are that way because they're awesome and consequently played constantly, and a vintage guitar that new looking is probably that way because it's a dud.

Not written in stone, of course, but it is often the case.

I did not know that...did Hamer make some of these that were duds?  All of mine, especially from this era are fantastic, but that is a small sample
