Damn, this one again, haunting me.

I'm reasonably confident this is yet another CL scam ad.

I just missed getting this guitar for stupid cheap when I stumbled across it on offerup a few months ago. I never look there, and happened to be searching out something totally unrelated. Anyway, I signed up for an account to contact the seller and missed by a couple hours. A few days later, Guitar Broker/Craig Brody had it listed on his site, and ebay and reverb, but he had changed the strings and top-wrapped them on the tailpiece. The pictures in this ad are from his site & the Reverb/ebay ads. He listed it for like $5500-6000 or so. Reasonably sure he didn't sell it for anywhere near what this current 'seller' would be unloading it for. Totally not his style.

You can see the same brick wall in his listing for a 4-digit lefty Standard: https://www.guitarbroker.com/product/1979-hamer-standard-left-handed/

Also, the CL ad is the same text from the Guitar Broker ebay/reverb listings. Has the same mis-spelling of Rick Nielsen's name copied right from the Guitar Broker erroneous ads. Same mis-identification of DiMarzio pickups etc.

Conclusion: beware of this ad. Seems to be very common scam procedure lately on many sites, just take pictures from another ad and claim you have the guitar.

Edit - found the Guitar Broker Reverb ad: https://reverb.com/item/85207605-hamer-standard-1997-stunning-27-year-old-faded-cherry-burst-flame-top-a-la-cheap-trick

Also, if you want to see where it came from before then, and why I am 'haunted' by it: https://offerup.com/item/detail/45f1278f-4f75-32e5-9cd8-2d1fa201c08e?cid=6.7

I didn't want it to re-sell, I wanted it. Grr.

In my area (SF Bay) when they respond to you its a variation on "I'm moving to (or have a gig) in Chicago but I can work out a quick and easy sale and ship it to you."

Not sure why they use Chicago, but I've seen it at least five or more times.  I just flag the ad and move on.

I have a buddy who likes to mess with them and ask obviously stupid questions to see where they'll fall apart.  (Ex: does it have the original ELZ2084 tubes? How is the polarity on the transformer?)

He has more time on his hands than I do.
