BruceM Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I'm shopping for someone else, who shall remain nameless at this point. Does anyone have any interesting humbucker guitars for sale in the thousand dollar range? Bonus for Hamers, of course. And bonus if you're in the Chicago-land or Minneapolis or areas in between, to eliminate shipping. Quote

currypowder Posted March 7 Posted March 7 2019 Tokai LS-129. Recent re-fret and setup. 59-ish neck. I don't know how quickly you need something, but I will be in Chicago at the end of the month. Happy to ship, though. 4 Quote

I'm amazed at the quality of guitars going for $1k now. All of the above choices are excellent. Edited March 9 by RobB Quote

BruceM Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 Thanks for the suggestions. This is great! My buyer-who-shall-remain-nameless will certainly take a look at these. It is amazing how many good guitars are available in this price range. 2 Quote
alantig Posted March 9 Posted March 9 PRS SE CE 24 is a lot of guitar for well under $1K. I have one of the sandblasted run - good stuff. The SE CE 24 Satin comes in at $500. There are a few other SE models that would fit the bill as well - SE DGT, SE McCarty 594, SE Zack Meyers (although I didn't see a listing, so I'm not sure on the price). Or if you want to jump way up the ladder and go used core - https://www.nstuffmusic.com/p-163997-prs-mira-cherry-used.aspx. No pics shown yet, but these are good guys to deal with. 1 Quote
