BruceM Posted March 9 Posted March 9 The 4-3-2-1 Club is hosting another HFC Jam. For the uninitiated, a Celebrity Jam is declared whenever we have an out-of-town guest in attendance. This particular guest has perhaps been featured as a celebrity here more than any other person. That's right, our own Cheap Chick, or Madame Pamita, fondly know as Pam, will be in town next week. We can't wait for the rock and roll shenanigans that always ensue. Details: When: Saturday, March 22 at 4:00 PM, until I kick you out Where: 4-3-2-1 Club in South Minneapolis, conveniently located near the LRT and the airport What: You know the drill: music, camaraderie and party food and drink. BYO alcoholic beverages Hope to see you here! Where are my locals? As these pics demonstrate, you never know what kind of fun will ensue when Pam comes to town! 6 Quote

DaveH Posted March 9 Posted March 9 We used to have a handful of the fairer sex here, years ago, but I haven't noticed any activity from them for the past decade(?) or so... 1 Quote
BruceM Posted March 14 Author Posted March 14 This pic was taken at the 4321 in 2007, and features two of the HFCs active women at the time. Beware the apple shaker, guys. 4 Quote
BruceM Posted March 14 Author Posted March 14 And here's one from 2006. That orange Standard would soon find a new home. Luckily, I've still got visitation rights and a twin Shishkov, to boot. 5 Quote

A year or two later, local HFC friend Eric said that that was his perfect guitar, and would I please sell it to him as a present to himself for his 40th birthday. I relented, and I was rewarded by seeing him play numerous times on stage with his band at that time. Edited to add: I'll have to look for some pics from that Muse Cafe jam. BruceM Posted March 20 Author Posted March 20 Bump... This is coming right up. See you Saturday? There will be a couple of bands playing short sets in addition to a regular old HFC jam. My band Famous Volcanoes will be playing. You won't want to miss Jimmy Johnson on pedal steel. Trust me on this one... Green chicken chili is on the menu. I wonder if I should get wieners? 2 Quote

You're quite welcome. As I've said many times right here on this website over the last 20 years: These parties are among the very best things I do for myself. I can't believe all the friends I've made by opening up my house to a random group of internet crazies. The fun never ends, it seems, and it's always a blast to see what each new group that gets thrown together will attempt. 6 Quote
