Steve Haynie Posted March 12 Posted March 12 It would be more desirable without the autograph. Is Joe Bonamassa known for playing a Hamer Special? No. 2 Quote

No. It was probably their attempt at what they thought was the only way to make a generic Hamer Special appear valuable. Obviously, we Hamer fans see it differently. My stance on signatures on guitars - anyone’s signature - is well documented. 1 Quote
stonge Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Maybe if they inlaid Joe's name on the fingerboard that Special might rise to Epiphone pricing levels... 1 1 7 Quote

Steve Haynie Posted March 13 Posted March 13 In the video it is obvious that Joe Bonamassa was only acquainted with that guitar long enough for it to come out of the case and get signed. What was that? A minute? Why bother? Someone has bid $1400 already. 2 1 Quote

Yes, like a video of said famous person signing the guitar and presenting it to someone. But sharpie sig's wear and fade in normal playing, and if you decide to spray clear over it to preserve it, make sure the clear doesn't react to the sharpie ink ( I have a story behind that one ). Me personally, I don't like autographed guitars which goes against my liking of autographed sun visors 🤷♂️🤷♂️ Edited March 15 by HSB0531 Quote
