cmatthes Posted March 21 Posted March 21 This one has the ebony board, but that awful gold hardware! 😂 I'm still wondering where the satin black M-3 with black plastics/metal and ebony board ended up? Or the trans black Monaco with DuoTone bridge/electronics (and Ebony) landed... 7 1 Quote

Thanks in advance. 1 Quote

JGale Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I have a bright RED Hamer 25th that has had the shit modded out of it. Full CorsaUSA bridge replacement, custom Carondelet A2 pups, local fret guru kissing and fondling… Did I mention it’s RED! Ha Ha It’s RED! 1 1 Quote

django49 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Well, it is not a Hamer or as Robin, but...... I really like the work that Barry is doing at Grez Guitars. (Sorta my backup plan when a second or third from Mike Shishkov became unrealistic). His Mendocino or the newer Grand Tour are easily customizable and his production schedule translates that into several weeks vs many months or even years. What I like is his way of "combining the art and science" so as to make the guitars sound much bigger acoustically than their size would suggest. So, if you are looking for ability to play jazz, unplugged or just good old rock with an amp, he is a good choice. IMHO. Very lightweight. F holes or not, as you determine. Mahogany with ebony board the standard. Substitutions (like korina) if you prefer. Specify your favorite pickups and any fancier adornments. Upscale version of a Duo-Tone(ish) if desired. Okay, def NOT going to be in the $1200+ range that we used to trade such as Artists, Newports and Monacos at. 🤧 But, IMO, nice value.....But limited supplies pop up used, so best for someone looking for their ideal keeper, built to their specs. seeker Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I've got the 00 Black NP Sprucetop Gregles ordered and sold to LA studio musician HFCer. Tone something. Gold HW though, and a baseball bat neck. Has that Luciile vibe. 1 Quote

django49 Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Once upon a time I had a Monaco SuperPro with the acoustic pickup. All original, bought new from Willcutts. Piezo in the bridge. 6 Quote
