I count 4 Vees on that wall that would interest me.  I was never a fan of the big pickguard ones.

Only 37 more to go to tie his Flying V collection!

38 for me, and I have more than anyone needs.

Wicked cool, and another example how the internet makes my obsessions trivial.

That makes me feel marginally better about myself; the most guitars of one model I've ever owned is 4 Daytonas, and I'm down to 2.

That's cool but silly to me at the same time. Congrats on sticking to your vision though.

I'm down to a mere half-dozen of these:

I had a Peavey Mystic, but always liked this shape better.  Kudos on this collection!

No Vee collection without Gibsons most successful vee design. That guy is so behind.

As someone who has amassed a considerable number of Cali's in the last 30 years (nowhere near this guy's V count) perhaps it's hypocritical of me but I still can't help but wonder, "why?"

Bragging rights? More money than smarts? Searching for the perfect V? Needs to fill up empty wall in what looks to be his basement?

Because life's too short, it's his passion and he can!

I agree the decor could use a little something.

Life's too short to be dusting off and changing strings on 40 guitars. :P

Isn’t there some overlap with Brütal 🤘and Architectural Brutalism? 🤷🏼‍♂️😆

The exposed concrete is definitely Brutalist! Maybe that's what he's going for: contrasting the raw unadorned Brutalist aesthetic with the highly ornate aesthetic of the Vs.

Or, more likely, he's spent so much on guitars he can't afford to spruce up the basement.

Could go either way...

I don't get it either, but as much as I don't need 40 Vs I also never needed 86 guitars at one time, but dammit I had them.

It doubles as his murder gallery. The Vs demand a sacrifice.

The austerity really ties the horror together for the victim.

What the heck are you thinking?  Have you never hauled $10,000 worth of gear in a $400 car?

You do not finish anything in the basement except another wall to hang guitars.

He spent more on the wall hangers than the wall.
