kizanski Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I count 4 Vees on that wall that would interest me. I was never a fan of the big pickguard ones. 1 Quote

a.bandini Posted March 26 Posted March 26 38 for me, and I have more than anyone needs. Wicked cool, and another example how the internet makes my obsessions trivial. 3 Quote
stonge Posted March 26 Posted March 26 That makes me feel marginally better about myself; the most guitars of one model I've ever owned is 4 Daytonas, and I'm down to 2. That's cool but silly to me at the same time. Congrats on sticking to your vision though. 4 Quote

Disturber Posted March 27 Posted March 27 No Vee collection without Gibsons most successful vee design. That guy is so behind. 2 Quote
diablo175 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 As someone who has amassed a considerable number of Cali's in the last 30 years (nowhere near this guy's V count) perhaps it's hypocritical of me but I still can't help but wonder, "why?" Bragging rights? More money than smarts? Searching for the perfect V? Needs to fill up empty wall in what looks to be his basement? 1 Quote

BruceM Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Is it just me, or is that the gayest guitar collection you've ever seen? 3 Quote

Maybe that's what he's going for: contrasting the raw unadorned Brutalist aesthetic with the highly ornate aesthetic of the Vs. Or, more likely, he's spent so much on guitars he can't afford to spruce up the basement. Could go either way... 1 3 Quote

Have you never hauled $10,000 worth of gear in a $400 car? You do not finish anything in the basement except another wall to hang guitars. Edited March 29 by Steve Haynie 1 5 Quote
