Saul Goodman Posted April 8 Posted April 8 You know you've hit rock bottom. They really need to work on their stage presence. The old guy in front put in his ear plugs. Bored fat people in the audience. Offer them free ice cream and watch them come alive. 2 Quote
Dave Scepter Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I thought they sounded great... Especially for an eighties band that doesn't have their incredible original lead singer Geoff Tate... These guys sounded awesome compared to the Ratt reunion concert 4 Quote

But man, not the show I saw a few decades ago with a sold out show opening for Judas Priest. Sounding great has nothing to do with stage presence. They could have at least put a real, lit LED in those fake Marshall stacks. Quote
Steve Haynie Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I have seen Queensrÿche ten times since 1989. They have always played as tight as the album recordings. Both Geoff Tate and Todd La Torre talk to their audiences with respect. Geoff Tate assembled bands that have been just as tight. You either love their music or you do not. If you do, every show is a good show. 3 Quote

velorush Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I watched a good bit of it. I'm not very familiar with the band at all (they came out while I was in nerd school), but I thought the singer (above) can absolutely sing and I thought the playing sounded very tight with great tone. As far as stage presence, I thought they were giving back about what they were getting from the crowd. After spending a week at Disney World, I'm guessing the crowd was likely comprised of people sick of standing in line and the "priority" people (those who had eaten themselves into a wheelchair - first in line to everything). I knew something was up when they were introduced by someone with the Disney Princess voice. There would have to be significant measures of metal brought just to get over the intro. 4 Quote

Expand Good point. They didn't seem to be working the crowd and La Torre kept leaving the stage. I mean, the only reason to leave the stage (or a concert) is if there is a drum solo. 1 Quote
LucSulla Posted April 9 Posted April 9 If I'm still doing this that well for that many people at that age, I'll count myself a very lucky man. 6 Quote
Saul Goodman Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 The guy in the teal shirt with sunglasses is sitting on a toilet facing west. Have you ever tried to shit in front of a crowd on a toilet facing west? It can be difficult. 1 Quote
Saul Goodman Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 The girl in teal took over for him around thirty in. How strange. Pinch hitter. Quote
Submariner85 Posted April 12 Posted April 12 I’ve seen them a few times with Todd fronting them. I thought they were good and his version of screaming in digital is awesome. 1 Quote

Expand If I told them once, I told them a thousand times, it's puppet show then Queensryche unless it's Scott Rockenfeld's Queensryche, they go first. Geoff Tate's Queensryche is still banned. 3 Quote
