golem Posted Saturday at 08:29 PM Posted Saturday at 08:29 PM If my memory is correct, I first saw this some time in 2017. They told me they had custom-ordered it for a collector, and he had just passed. They had several high-end guitars from his estate, and this is the last one still listed. They're asking $3600 and haven't budged on the officially listed price in years. Today, I went by there once again and asked them about it, and they told me verbally they'd take 2500. I think that's still a bit more than the average for these guitars. It's a heavy SOB and brighter than your average singlecut guitar. I may have posted about this before and posted about it before. With another few years of inflation, they may eventually get the price they're asking for it. 3 Quote
WorstBandName Posted Saturday at 08:35 PM Posted Saturday at 08:35 PM Matching head stock, single vittory inlay, ebony(?) board, etc. Looks like it would be one that would be hard to come by again? The heavy bit would turn me off on it but it sure is cool. 1 Quote

hamerhead Posted Sunday at 12:55 AM Posted Sunday at 12:55 AM Beautiful guitar, but 11 lbs? On a Custom Order?? HTF does that even happen? Did the guy ask for 'something heavier than a Les Paul' and they filled it with lead? Jeezus! I can understand it happening on a regular production model, but not on a CO. I think I know what killed the poor bastard. 4 Quote
beezerboy Posted Sunday at 04:06 AM Posted Sunday at 04:06 AM (edited) yeah.. hey doc... can ya put a brick in there for me? still.... Disturber Posted Sunday at 08:31 AM Posted Sunday at 08:31 AM 2500$ sounds like a pretty damn good deal to me if it's a nos guitar. That price seems to be the going rate for these on the used market right now. Try finding another nos, unplayed one, out there. They are not making them anymore. The HFC really have the cheapest sons a bitches as members when it comes down to paying money for a guitar. Especially if they are Hamer's. 😁 😄 😁 😄 7 5 Quote
Dave Scepter Posted Sunday at 11:18 AM Posted Sunday at 11:18 AM That's not a bad price at all... I seriously doubt 11 lbs... aren't they chambered? Quote

Dutchman Posted Sunday at 11:33 AM Posted Sunday at 11:33 AM I had a Monel GoldTop P90 that weighed 12lbs 3oz. Heaviest guitar I ever owned. Sounded frickin awesome!! I was younger then, nothing over 8 lbs now! 4 1 Quote

currypowder Posted Sunday at 01:54 PM Posted Sunday at 01:54 PM My un-chambered 06 Monaco Elite is 8.4 pounds, which to me an ideal single cut weight. 4 Quote

Ua D Posted Sunday at 08:18 PM Posted Sunday at 08:18 PM (edited) Few of those forever on reverb guitars. &nbs https://reverb.com/item/544170-hamer-studio-custom-2007-trans-white?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=544170 This shop has had this for sale for 17-18 years. Been on reverb for at least 9 years. the clear coat has started to yellow and now it looks more creamy than it used to. Edited Sunday at 08:20 PM by Ua D Quote
cmatthes Posted Sunday at 08:49 PM Posted Sunday at 08:49 PM With a description like this, and a stupid asking price, no wonder they're never going to sell it! "Featuring a mild weight that is far more bearable than a solid maple guitar, this Korina beauty hums with resonance and articulation. Be on your best performance with this one-of-a-kind guitar, because it will pick up every dynamic of your playing style--the perfect streaks as well as the accidental notes that you played" 1 3 Quote
HamerCustomEr Posted Monday at 01:30 AM Posted Monday at 01:30 AM $2500 for that?! Buy it! I would buy it just for the ebony board! Quote

WorstBandName Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I reached out to the shop with the OP guitar to see how heavy. They said it weighed in at 9 lbs 10 oz. So, not crazy, but also not light. Quote

So, not crazy, but also not light. It felt heavier than that, but I also usually play PRS and Strats which rarely hit the high eights in weight. I'm slightly surprised to hear it's under 10lbs. Like, I almost don't believe them. Quote

They helped the collector who died custom order it. His widow sold it back to the shop. It's not mint. In my books it's what REverb would call very good. It has some dings on the back IIRC Quote
LucSulla Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Lol, it's a good damn thing that I hate talking on the phone, or I might be picking that up. I've had a Super Pro but never an Elite. Quote

I'll allow one of those. Monaco III, great. You get the idea. Quote
