I've got The Joneses CD from 15 years ago. What else has Billy Loosigian done? Never heard anything else by him, that I am aware of.

I don't know who this black guy is playing the

white Ibanez superstrat, but he sure is underrated.

He pulls of some hellicopter Floyd Rose wang bar chops

about 40 secs into the clip.

The guy with the red Kramer superstrat is Eddie Hazel.

He's pretty underrated too. (Although he's pretty

marked from living a hard life in this 80´s clip).

Also underrated: Ernie Isley and Neil Rogers.

Black guitarsplayers are pretty underrated overall, excluding Hendrix.

Well, maybe underFAMOUS, as guitarists seem to know who these guys are...

Marc Ribot

Plus one on Steve Hunter. Monster player. And when he teamed up with Dick Wagner, they could really shake the rafters.

I also think the guitar player from Blue Cheer is killer. Last name Mcdonald I believe. Ryan Roxie is a real player too. Monster chops and attitude.

Marc Ribot? I once saw him on a festival for avantgarde guitar music here in Germany and first thought he was making fun of the situation. But then is seemed like this treatment of the guitar was really meant to be the music he delivered to the audience...

You couldn´t really call it "playing guitar" though.

What to listen to, if I want to listen to real guitar playing by him?

BTW after him Fred Frith entered the stage and I did enjoy that one.

I'll echoplex Cantrell and Alex Skolnick, and add three more names...

Nuno Bettencourt

Ronni LeTekro

Richie Sambora

The guitar playing of Marc Ribot I have in mind can be found on a number of Tom Waits albums, including, Frank's Wild Years, Rain Dogs, Big Time, and Mule Variations...........great understated stuff...........course, I really like Tom Waits a lot, and YMMV when it comes to Tom Waits.

Perhaps at an "avantgarde" guitar festival he was in fact making fun of the situation?

Yeah, He's amazing, And most don't know that he plays a ton of guitar parts on Aeorsmith's "Get your Wings" The producer called him in when Perry couldn't cut the tracks clean enough. If you listen to Train kept a rollin', you can really hear Hunters licks in the solos. They stand out.
