Yippi-kai-yay! I dig their sound and they have lots of price points that should work for us so...

If'n you need something, you've got an HFC lover to give you a happy ending.

I've really liked all of their amps that I've owned or played. Good stuff indeed. Love the look of that plexiglass head one.

Dave: Paul and I are playing Switchblades. Nice amps. Versatile.

Guess I don't count :P Besides, I had mine first. :P

I'm lucky to keep track of the locals!

I still want to trade my 100 watt head for a 50 watt combo....

Congrats!

A dozen years ago, I was in music retail and the little shop I was at used to do real well with the old ATS 120 half-stack. (Tube pre/ SS output head and 4x12 covered in black G.I. Joe hair.) It sounded suprisingly good at all levels, but especially cranked. I kinda' lost touch with the line after a while, when they started getting into the all-tube heads.

I remember Larry Mitchell used to use that early high-dollar preamp of theirs with good results.

Again, congrats on a cool line.

Best Wishes

I have the 50 1x12 combo. Gave it a workout this weekend against a Splawn 100watt head with a 4x12 at the Guitarwar meetup. I liked the way it sounded better even with only a 1x12 but, damn was that Splawn loud, sounded pretty good too.

Oh yeah, congrats elduave on the new line, they make some cool amps. That Edition Tube 20th anniversary seems to get a lot of praise and seems reasonably priced too.

Thanks dudes, hope they sell.

I believe that Edition tube is the cheapest tube amp in the HK line. I'd like to check one out...

The 50 watt 1-12 Switchblade combo is a great gigging amp- from squeaky clean to more gain than you'll ever need, and you can carry it with one hand. It fits in the back seat of the Mustang, without having to remove the carseat.

Paul: Love the Variaxed PRS import in the Regs photo!

Thanks! That one gets played quite a bit- I just added a 12-string with Lipstick pickups into it for a Cure tune. Point. Click. A new guitar!

Paul, You running yours with a ext. cab... I'm thinking about buying a 50 watter and dumping off my Trace Speed Twin and possibly my Teefus modded C30. Any dealers in Columbus selling them so I can give one a test drive. I'm tired of pedals and trying to get a good boost blah, blah, blah

No extension cabinet needed- its plenty loud without one. Gain pedals aren't needed either. You could easily gig with just the amp, a tuner, and a wah (if you use one).

well done Dave!

I just came back from the Musik Messe show in Frankfurt. My friend is the amp product manager at H&K.

If anyone wants to hear some great H&K tone examples just go to www.guitarplayer.de

Thomas Blug is the dmeo guy for H&K. Fantastic player, awesome tone and a nice guy as well.

Cool stuff there.

That guy can play. We looked at HK at the NAMM show( Tell Joe we said HELLO!, Duave) and the fella demoing the stuff was frighteningly good and a really nice fella to boot.
