BruceM Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 For whatever reason, the faux country was the order of the evening last night. We even had Jimmy Johnson sit in on pedal steel for a set, although I got no pics of Jimmy. Perhaps someone else did. Great fun was had by all, and the music was fast and furious from 7:30 until 2:00 AM. That's right, this was a late-night hoedown. Here's some photos: Madame Pamita, checking out the camera. The singing was enthusiastic and robust all night long! Go Pam, Carmie and Joe! La Chouffe breaks out his new hat and a variety of Belgian beers for the happy revelers. As usual, girls just wanna have fun! And fun it was!
BruceM Posted May 26, 2007 Author Posted May 26, 2007 Here's some more... Did I mention the quality of the vocals? Carmie & Joe tear it up again! Dave Berg and Joe rip it up. Ted, becoming hot! Robb, in a pensive moment, and Pete, yet another 6 hour marathon for this guy on drums. Amazing. Put a camera in front of a girl, and see what happens? And of course, it wouldn't be a proper 4-3-2-1 Hoedown without a pose or two. And this might appear to be gratuitous mugging, but no, it's legitimate guitar face as I *gasp* actually bend a string!
kizanski Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Good fun! I'll make it one day!...as soon as Bruce buys a Parker Fly!
BruceM Posted May 26, 2007 Author Posted May 26, 2007 ...as soon as Bruce buys a Parker Fly! I'm sure you'll find this hard to believe, but I bought myself a Parker Fly for my 40th birthday, just before I discovered the HFC and rediscovered the joys of Hamer guitars. I sold the Parker about a year ago. And for some odd reason, I miss it.
elduave Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Woah! At first glance it looked like Pam was wearing a peek-a-boo sided dress! Cheers to y'all, another good one!
Bernard from Belgium Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 I can only imagine how much fun it must have been! Great pictures! Pam's got the look and for some reason Robb makes me think of EC... I'll start to call you "Mr. Rock'n'Roll" dear Bruce... You always seem to have the right pose for the pics! Bernard
earachemyeye Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Once again a big THANKYOU to Bruce is in order. Since I stopped gigging out these jams fill a void and give me motivation to practice and play. To the Belgians on the board: You folks have incredible taste in beer and headgear... in that order. I'm throwing away my lampshade and getting a La Chouffe hat . Thankyou Pam, George and Carmie for the energy you bring with you. The harmonies on "Sunshine of Your Love" kicked ass. It was good to see you all again. The Famous Volcanos sounded soooo cool with that pedal steel as did all the various groups that played with him. That really was the highlight of the jam for me. The guy is GOOD. To Rob,Ted, Dave, Sid, and all of Bruce's friends. You all are a great bunch of folks to hang with. Good times! Joe
belgian Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Love the pics, Bruce. You recovered quite well from your trip, as I see. Now I realise what we missed at the Jam overhere : Women ! So for the next one, we need Pam, Carmie and Sid to come over !Class all over.....

earachemyeye Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 No Badger this time. New coach at the U of M has him running scared I guess . Missed ya for sure and it was country night too Dave. Maybe next one. Joe
ctrixie Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 O yes, we had a great time - as always - and thank you Bruce for bringing us all together like ya do. And I didn't break anything! Loved playing (mostly singing) and talking to Joe, Robbie, Shred, Pam, Sid, Dave, Ted, Scott, Bruce & Pete who drummed ALL night long fur us!
BadgerDave Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I had a ticket and was on my way out the door to O'Hare when all Hell broke loose at work. 3 hours later, I'd missed my flight and what looks like one of the best 4321 Club gatherings yet. Bruce, Faux country and you didn't break out the seafoam T-51? Shame!!!!!

YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! I half expected you to show up, Dave. We missed you!
BruceM Posted May 29, 2007 Author Posted May 29, 2007 Hey, Pam left her camera, and here's a few of her photos! Pam jams the pink cruisebass. Sid, ebullient as ever. Here's one of the elusive Jimmy Johnson, tearing it up on steel. Robb. I was definitely having a good time!
robbie Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I think there may have been a record number of songs played at this jam!! Big, huge thanks to Bruce once again for the hospitality!! It was great seeing you all again!!
